The hard truth is that Usyk was the superior technical fighter. He was a genius when it came to movement and is arguably the greatest of this generation. I am confident that he will go down in history as one of the greatest of all (if not the greatest), proving that size, weight, and talk don't matter, but technique, focus, and consistency do. Always liked Lennox and we saw all his big fights. He knew what arsenal he had and how to use it, brilliant analytic boxer. Very smart, cool calm and collected. Didn't fall into all the 'fame traps' like Mike Tyson, Tommy Morrison etc. No drink or drugs scandals, 100% focused on his boxing. And now a great commentator and still doing great. TY Lennox !

On June 21, 2003, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, a heavyweight boxing match took place between Lennox Lewis and Vitali Klitschko, known as the "Battle of the Titans." Originally, Lewis was scheduled to fight Kirk Johnson, but due to Johnson's injury, Klitschko stepped in on short notice. Despite the limited preparation time, Klitschko started strong, leading on all judges' scorecards after six rounds with a score of 58-56. However, in the third round, Lewis landed a punch that caused a severe cut above Klitschko's left eye. After the sixth round, the ringside doctor recommended stopping the fight due to the severity of the cut, resulting in a technical knockout victory for Lewis. Following the bout, there was significant public demand for a rematch. Although initial discussions took place, Lewis ultimately decided to retire from boxing, and the rematch never occurred. This fight was the last in Lewis's professional career and marked Klitschko's final defeat. It would be interesting to see such a rematch for boxing fans.

Lennox admitted he was offered more than $27 million to fight Vitali in the rematch… he obviously declined 😂
@basicalen61223 күн бұрын
@IblewuponyourfaceIII However, while entering the post fight press conference, Lewis stated to Vitali, "I'll give you a rematch no problem. I'll get to bust up the other side of your face," while laughing with others. However, when he received an offer, he chickened out and retired. Vitali would have knocked him out for sure. You could see anger in Vitali's face after he knocked Kirk Johnson out, and he callled Lewis out that night too. Lewis has no place to talk when talking about Vitali Klitschko.

I think people didnt really see what Fury was doing. He would go after Usyk then immediately defend against the big straight left of Usyk. Everytime Fury would throw punches , his head would be left exposed and he wouldve closed the distance leaving him open to a big left hand. So fury was resorting to flurries then pulling back.... i thought that was a solid gameplan. Otherwise it wouldve been round 9 all over again. He came close and fought well.

I was watching the fight in a place where there were dozens of other people, almost all Tyson Fury supporters and we all thought Usyk won and absolutely nobody was surprised when Usyk got the unanimous deserved decision. I cannot possibly understand what planet some of these people are from to have Fury winning comfortably...it makes zero sense. As for one of the judges not giving Tyson Fury any of the last 7 rounds, that is stretching things too far.... that is almost taking the p*ss. That judge needs corrective immediate eye surgery.
