I just finished chemo where sometimes I couldn’t do much more than lay in bed with eyes closed and listen to The Dish. In honor of all those episodes, I made a full English roast for Thanksgiving instead of a turkey. We had prime rib, Yorkshire pudding and gravy, duck fat potatoes, parsnips and red cabbage. Very proud of my California self. Thanks Nick and Angela for making me laugh when nothing else felt funny.

Lord love us and save us, YES! I love the way his Darcy unfolds. At firs t the costumes are “buttoned up” to his chin representing his uptight character. He evolves costume -wise. By the end, he has gone from tidgy cravats to the open neck shirt as he strides purposefully across the fields, his frock coat tails flapping in the wind! Just beautifully done. Equally, watch his hands in particular when he hands Elizabeth into the carriage and, as he walks away, he sort of clenches his hand as if it is tingling after having made physical contact with her. So much more to be said, but Tom is a perfect vulnerable Darcy providing Lizzie with the perfect 4A son to shed her prejudice and fall completely in love with him. Lucky Keeley. Lucky Tom. And also, an enjoyable interview during which we get to know the real person behind the characters he plays. Great fun and great laugh!

Ugh, I loved this! I've loved him since Wuthering Heights. But I have to say the confidence with which he said marmite and peanut butter for his sandwich filling, after slagging off poor Keeley for her cream cheese and chicken was truely impressive. 😂
