Thanks for sharing this information. I didn't get how to set the filter so that when the the task is completed, it will not be shown in the pivot table?

What would happen if someone fills out the form for a job that was already filled before? For example, I want to update the status of the job from pending approval to done. That would require the employee to fill the form twice. How can I overwrite an existing row in the form response tracker?
@excelissimple3 жыл бұрын
Hi Diego, this is quite an important question as there could be instances when people are filling the form twice or more. First of all let s understand that the form responses are being recorded in a google-spreadsheet; so all of your responses will stay recorded. However, since we are using a VLOOKUP function in the master tracker, the first recorded response for a task will be shown up. To link the latest response in the task tracker, you will need to remove the earlier response(s) in the form responses sheet.

Suppose I've 50 employees who are doing 4 tasks daily. Now I need a mechanism which will help me track their daily activities where they are the ones who report and i get a automatically generated google tracking sheet which will also arrange the data in a pattern that will help me resulting a monthly report. Do you understand, or i can elaborate in a private mail or messenger. This will help me keep my job.

If I require particular employee to watch only his data, what would be the step. Also if sheet data can be seen on Google form and they can just tick all work assigned with completed date Thanks in advance

Hello Mehul, Here is what you can do. Create individual pivots for each employee and save each pivot as a separate URL. Share the respective URL with the employees.

Are there anyway of selecting job ID and employee ID from the database already in the gsheet so that the user don't have to type, but just dropdown to choose?
@excelissimple3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your query. One way to do so is to add these as dropdown while creating the forms. Also, since we are also publishing the pending tasks as a webpage; once can anytime copy and paste from the webpage.

how to generate monthly report from this tracker? Thank you
@excelissimple3 жыл бұрын
If you want to create a monthly report, just add a column in the master tracker where you have the month. It can be done manually or you can extract the month from the date using TEXT function. Then using pivot tables or IFS functions you can generate the monthly report.
