Also you can mix a can of sardies and fish sauce with flour makes great chum bait. Also you can scent your soft baits like lures in fish sauce been doing this and it helps catch more fish. Use a bell as a alarm so you dont have to keep looking at your pole. Agian great video and tight lines bro.

If you kept the catfish and made “canh chua” aka Vietnamese sour soup, you’d have the perfect traditional pairing Vietnamese meal - canh chua ca kho to.

Yes or you can fry the catfish too. After the catfish skin is scrapped off (rubbing the knife to get rid of the slime), fillet it or cut it into small chunks and put some salt on it. Afterwards use tapioca powder to fry the catfish it’s simple and good

I make a blend of breadcrumbs, chicken feed, small pellets and fish sauce in a bucket when I go freshwater fishing. Then I will launch 4 or 5 baseball sized balls of it in each area I intend to fish. Then all you do is wait for the fish to start feeding and lob in one or two smaller balls every half hour or so to keep the fish in the area

My Viet GF only used Three Crabs brand b/c it has a mild flavor. Phillipino fish sauce like Swan is stronger but still not overpowering. I never put natural baits in an attractant, just artificials. Menhaden oil is what is really strong. Get it at Fishing Tackle Unlimeted.

Do you guys ever think about sending out one of those live whiting with a hook in his back and a balloon and seeing if you can catch something big??? It's what I do all the time here in NZ with my first catch of the day (usually a Kahawai) and I leave it out the whole time im fishing unless it gets hit with a big kingfish etc and then it's game on. Just a thought , and you will be surprised how often you hook up on a monster.

@TheHungryFisherman002 жыл бұрын
For the conventional reel when casting, try not to cast overhead like a spinner. Use more of a side arm cast. Also while casting make sure your line is parallel to your rod. Keeping your line tight when casting is a big part of not bird nesting.
@ttvdstylez73722 жыл бұрын
Oh yea. He’s gonna do exactly what you say lol 😂
@HATINTHEKAT2 жыл бұрын
The line technically is always parallel with the rod, due to the way reels sit and rod guides doing their job, you might need to rephrase lol. And you can most definitely do overhead casts with conventional set ups..... it’s all in the thumb-work.
@bertle6152 жыл бұрын
fyi, you don't need to carmelize it first. just add fish sauce to the fish, and just add sugar on top of the fish and chili powder to a cold pan and then cook it covered. i think it comes out better that way, and I think because there's more braising, the fish comes out a lot more tender. if you like some tartness to it, you can throw in some pineapple chunks too.
@ifenryrgaming2 жыл бұрын
