Nils if the fucking man! Such a kind man too. I met him outside a Sleepytime/Secret Cheifs show in Chicago 8 or 9 years ago after I got denied at the door using my brothers id. So I stood at the band entrance door and met him and Carla instead. Autographs, pictures and he chilled with me before and after he got his make up on. Ill never forget that night.

I fkin love SC3. I got dead cross tix for free and took a friend. Not super into it but the universe said "take the homie, he REALLY loves Mike". The universe rewarded me with fking Secret Chiefs Opening Act. They even played a cover of a movie theme that I though would sound great through a metal lens. It does. Thx guys. Trey and his gf or w/e were manning the merch and looking bored AF but I was too shy to go tell him how much I love his shit. I gotta get over that...

Teaching my 6th grade percussionist this melody on his bell kit! In terms of style fusion-Secret Chiefs 3 are effing ballers. I say that with a grain . of salt because all the so-called artists out there who claim to be "on to some real shit"...take a seat and hopefully learn that you need to stop polluting the radio waves with teeny-bopper and contrived rap noise. Secret Chiefs 3 trump all. They even have breakbeat material.
