Secret Compartment Jewelry Box

This is a box that I made over the summer as a wedding gift for my cousin.

I love this, I will try and make one for my daughter. The only thing I would like to change in my own project is the releasing pin, I'd like to find a way to hide on the back of the bottom drawer, or perhaps come up with a way to make a combination of drawers opening to release the hidden compartment. Great work and of course great inspiration from Penner.

I assembled a shed with these plan [Link Here== *TopFineWoodworking. Com* ]. The guidelines were clear and simple to execute. Indeed, even an amateur can have the capacity to construct quite fast using this plan. I'm glad I purchased the plan. It additionally spared me much cost.?

Pawel Sawicki where you able to build it? I build a jewelry box for my fiancé, don't have that many carpentry skills but hobby lobby worked like magic on my finished product. Bought some antique bronze crafts from woodpile and they did the finishing touch. People liked it so much that i'm working on a second jewelry box for her and a tool box for my art tools, thought I need something fancy to put all my hair brush set and acrylic paint tubes away.

Friggin fantastic! I watched the vid and read the instructions. I'm new at woodworking and I would love to try this with my son, to make a gift for my wife! Do you have to use a band saw? (I don't have one) or can another type of saw be used as well? Newb question I know lol

This is a bandsaw box. If you don't have a bandsaw there's no reason to try to build it. There are lots of other (better) ways of building a little box with drawers if you don't have a bandsaw.

u can improve that design by adding a in to the bottom draw and a groove for it to run down... as it reaches the end it would push spring down, u grabe the very bottom to pull out and push last draw in... this secret compartment... and add a second spring for added secret affect like a lock so it wont fully come out until the last draw is fully in place... just a suggestion if u do anouther one

maybe add a cut,on the back of the bottom drawer to hode the key. A simple rout in the back and a wire to hold it

Just...don't use a jewelry box. Don't put all your precious valuables in something that can easily be carried away and smashed. ..jewelry boxes are just such a bad idea.
