Waders are a choice thing and I'm a wader guy. I have a lot of reasons why I like them but no waders is a lot easier!! I'm also a two rod person, I stager the pull time and don't seem to get them tangled very often. Very often is the key word!! Fun video and some pretty good crabs!! Yesterday at my local market they had three crabs in the display, $13.99 a pound!!

I’m starting to see new comers at ocean beach wearing waders thinking that it’s okay to go deep because they have waders. I just want to show them that they don’t need it because we all know what happens when the waves hit over your chest, It’s really dangerous.

It’s all good it’s for people who are just barely starting for surf crabbing, it’s best to have them start without waders until they get the whole ideal of not going out too deep because I’ve seen a lot of beginners that goes surf crabbing with waders walking in the water waist deep not knowing that the waves can take them in at a split second.

@bigzfishing44693 жыл бұрын
If you reel in slowly pulling back and forth for a long period of time then yes they will know, with the waves pushing your snare all over the place I don’t think they will know because your snare and line is moving regardless. If you slightly pull and it gets stuck then (STOP) if you feel tight tension then he’s on, Go ahead pull.

Dude another sweet vid! I wish more guys out there had a chill way of thinking like you do because some guys out there are too damn serious. Like you said, it isn't my fault that the rip current is taking everyone's snare down river! Plus i went out there last weekend and guys were only like 20 feet apart for as far as i could see! it's definitely gonna happen
@bigzfishing44693 жыл бұрын
Thanks man and yes, it isn’t anyone’s fault for getting tangled Even if your using a 15 oz weighted snare because the ocean will still move your snare all over the place, The best option to avoid these situations is to surf crab far apart. However, if there’s no space and you decide to go in between crabbers I’ll go ahead and do another Tutorial video on how to cast in rotation to prevent the Entanglement from happening.

Waders are over rated. Save yourself the expense. If you think about it, a wetsuit (what surfers & scuba divers use) works fine for cold temp water. They are same material, neoprene as some waders (the other material is nylon). Btw, you can find used wet suits at Goodwill, Out of the Closet, etc.
@bigzfishing44693 жыл бұрын
@@360revolucion8 I highly recommend the same thing! A wet suit is the best way to go when it comes to being safe! My first time using waders I almost drowned so I do not recommend using waders at the surf, it shouldn’t be for the surf in the first place.

watch for the patterns of wave breaking visible from the shore. If you see waves coming in from the left and right or if your snare is moving too fast to the left or right then your surf crabbing at a rip current. Try to find waves that comes in straight back and forth.
