It's 'hidden' as far as, it's a quest that only appears when another quest is completed. So I wouldn't really call it hidden, but rather a 'second tier sub-quest'.

It won’t appear until after you do both Artifact Excavation and the deviant questline, but the game gives no indication whatsoever that the artifact quest is necessary. I went to the scriviner’s lodge when the Pukei girl told me to go talk to the scriviners but there was nothing there. If it weren’t for this video, I wouldn’t have found this quest, so it’s “hidden” enough that you might not see it if you do the quests out of order.

I did that in the first game. In fact, I made one of each of the elements. Of course, due to limited number of Elder Dragons, only two had Elder Dragon genes really. Well, the actual elder dragon genes that is.

I genuinely thought you knew about this already Because in the Deviant questline, once you complete a quest in it, the Clerk will say something about someone in the Scrivener’s lodge wanting to talk to the player I guess she doesn’t tell you that unless you do the ancient relic quest first

No, it’s hidden. I’ve done the clerk’s quests and when she said there may be something in the Scrivener’s lodge, there’s nothing there. It’s until I found this video and completed the other girl quest that Lilia’s quests appeared. The quest system in this game is quite bad. You don’t know which one is just a chore or something important. The clerk’s first quest is to show her a Pukei-Pukei. How am I suppose to know that she isn’t one of the dozens normal ‘show me this monster’ quest?

I actually finished this quest line today when I beat the nergigante I also completed this before floor 5 of the elders lair because i was grinding because the cephadrome is so annoying actually I hate asking this but does anyone have any advice on the 5 turn cephadrome because I can never seem to beat it

@@nathancollier4751 bring the greatsword companion, use a gs yourself and only do tackles and charged slashes to the tail. Thats it. Also sonic bomb if it buries

@@jojoelix2027 the thing is it dives on the 4th turn and by the time I sonic bomb it’s the fifth turn and my monsties and companions unless during double attacks only do 2 damage even my kinship skill with a heavy smelly egg nergigante only did two damage

I didn't know about this until October, and finally went on farming for Velkhana bits, used Ratha for Kirin and Velkhana, Soulseer Mizutsune for Teostra, Boltreaver Astalos for Kushala Daora and Fulgur Anjanath for Nergigante.

Actually if you talk to the girl that gives you the deviant quest she will say something like "hey, Lilia wanted to talk to you" These quest are not actually hidden you just have to do quests in order to find it (i've found it without needing any researching)

I do find it a bit off they give the the Deviant quest line before Elder Dragon. While in the normal game it's the other way if the Deviant are even in the game.

Here I have a tip for getting Deviant eggs and elder eggs

What you need to do is first hunt for bottle caps (100) to afford the SR den as that’s the best way, then before you head out manual save the game and also use the gathering charm, search the dens chest for a SR expedition ticket I usually get one 2/3 times

And if you don’t get one after searching all the chest, reload the save and try it again, trust me it’s worth it, once you do get one clear the den and get the egg and rinse and repeat

Eh not worth it, silverwind armor pretty much does the job, with a kinship talisman. Jeez the endgame sucks, why not have a quest line for amatsu, or nakarkos, yknow, real end game monsters. Maybe there is a tower in the snow region and you can only enter after beating the game, it has like 5 floors or something and each floor ends with a double battle, and at the top is velkhana, much more interesting to introduce velkhana this way. Be creative capcom cmon, im really dissapointed in the postgame.
