Sadly stygian...is really not good. Excluding his two skills he has on him, there is only one dragon technical skill in the game, so full bingo is impossible. Not much in the game is weak to dragon, a thunder weakness is not a good one to have, and the rest of his defenses arent all that good either

I wished it was only 1 neutral palamute then they fixed the elements being outgrown by monsties which turns them back to their original element. So we can just give that palamute the element of genes we want it to have.

I rather use Stygian for Dragon because he is just faster and was the Number 1 for Dragon Element in the first Game except when you created your own Dragon Variant of any Monstie like an Dragon Yian Garuga

Stygian was still top dog (heh) in Stories 1 even when we factor elemental shifting. The only inheritable dragon move was Jho breath and Stygian was the only monster to have single target dragon attacks.

With that in mind I might have to give a permanent slot to a Palamute, since I feel compelled to maximize my exploratory field abilities and having two in one frees up a slot for a monstie with none!

The devs said they come out of the eggs wearing the Kamura garb because they wanted it to be immediately recognizable as a palamute as opposed to a regular dog

@@conorb.1901 No yeah, I get that. But it's still a creepy in game detail. It kind of reminds me of pokemon who wear clothes i.e Machoke/Machamp, Sawk/Throh. Like, they're clothes, yes, but when you think about it really hard, are they clothes? 🤔

@@chilmaster20 this is the same game where we can get Gravios and Basarios from separate eggs even though one is the adolescent form of the other. Same with Barioth and most mammalian monsters who would give live birth rather than laying eggs. It's very likely game mechanics and nothing else (plus we can take the clothes off of the dogs in Rise).

@@chilmaster20 Barioth does give live birth, I don't remember where I read that though. Based on shark biology, Zamtrios should also give live birth (but if we look at the frog side of its biology, it should lay eggs). Stories in general is just kinda weird when it comes to biology

@@seahawk1579 Nahhhhh that's typically considered b lining it my guy ahah! I took that long because I have like a few rules I follow for various games, so in this case before I moved to a new region of the game I'd go through and do all the subquests (board & NPC given) and after I got to the next region, go back to each hubspace & check for more subquests! Outside of that it was just general exploration to see what monsties where in each of the areas & then as a rite of passage before moving to the next region I'd task myself with beating any royal monsters in the current one. Of which Tigrex & Gammoth gave me the most trouble, but with a little patience & stratagy I got them down! And i mean patience... took like 60 turns & multiple attempts to take down Gammoth at that level! 😂

I don’t think I caught the part if you talked about it, but I don’t have the SR tickets yet, I have the rare tickets. No matter how many nests I get the Palamute egg from, I always get the normal type for some reason..is it because I’m not using SR tickets?

I don’t know if this can help you but you can actually get rare gen eggs no matter what, you just need some good luck. I think the SR tickets just give you more possibilities to get easier gen eggs.
