Fun fact, you don't NEED a SR ticket to get either boltreaver or hellblade, a rare ticket is sufficient. I got a platinum hellblade glavenus on my first fire egg den with a rare ticket.

You overlooked a aspect, attack type. He's Technical which makes him a perfect replacement for Valk in both PvP, and PvE. His riding skill is flying, so doesn't disrupt the party layout to fit him in, and as for his skills, they're way more viable then Valk's. The biggest issue with Valk, is that alot of his best skills are other, not technical, which is a big weakness, especially in PvP. Also there are alittle more better lightning skills, then there are ice, so there's some interesting things you can put on boltreaver.

@@kuramu_rex Yea It's his biggest weakness. His def is insane, but without the ability to do reliable technical attacks, he's basically just a meat shield. Boltreaver doesn't have any of those issues, and you can do alot more with lightning, then with ice.

I already invested to much stuff in my Kirin. So Boltreaver sadly has to take the backseat. Hellblade however does fit my team very well.

@@synthw1431 exactly what this guy said. I've been dominating in pvp with a 70% winrate with a team full of rarity 5s. The difference in power is so minimal since in pvp you can rarely one-shot unless crit, and you'll need 2 hits most of the time to kill most things, which rarity 5 are well capable of. Like he said, it's all about the monstie you like. In my case I got my normal Astalos already built and I'm too lazy to farm again for boltreavrr

One thing I don’t believe Vicious works only when you win the head to head I’m pretty sure it also effects ties and loses but I haven’t tested it yet so take this with a grain of salt.

I am mostly running raw damage monsters. I Do have an idea for a pure thunder build with insane damage and high paralyze procs. Not much defense in my build, but I am hoping paralyze procs most of the time. I am planning on Kirin since he seems to be very well balanced and I can build critical builds as well.

So Boltreaver is the exact same stats as Thunderlord, but with 10 crit over 9. Also while it's Lightning Blade isn't something you'll build *around* it is basically the new best Tech Thunder attack for you to slot into your builds, if you aren't going for a Vengeful Thunder situation

If you want the new deviants I highly recommend you use R tickets cause your more likely to get thunderlord and kirin or rajang if your luck is like mine and you just won't get the egg you want with Sr tickets

The one thing I believe is a downside to boltreavers ability Azure Voltage is that when you use it for the charge up power for two turns, it only powers your monstie up on the turn you use it and the next turn. So that extra power boost only lasts the next turn after you use the ability.

Love boltreaver. I’ll take him over Kirin or Rajang any day, even if they are slightly better. Given I don’t play pvp, I don’t really have to care. Built a pretty good one already and so far, he is a monster. Massive crit potential mixed with the right moves that benefit, and he basically rains death from the sky, and tanks hits like a boss.

Something to note though. Kirin rajang and boltreaver each have a spot on the tactical triangle. If you need a monster of lightning to fill out your team you can pick one of them based on your needs

And there arent that many good monsties in tech area, the one i see ppl use most often are astalos(normal) and velkhana but mostly velk so having boltreaver in is a great addition and replacement to the original!

I guess I am reworking my whole team. Cause if it is better or at least really close to Kirin in strength, then I am using it cause I love Astalos and was sad it wasn't good enough to stay on my team in High Rank. If Deviljho isn't technical then I will get one and have that replace the Stygian Zinogre. I am still working on my team, but was getting pretty close to fully completing it.

Astalos is 5* mon so less stat growth and bolt is 7* so he get better stats at high lvls. Im transfering everything from my old asta to him by re farming all the moves again.

Boltreaver is stronger in most ways, but regular Astalos has a higher Recovery stat, so is better for moves like Bolt Eater. But as noted in the video, the stat differences between most monsters isn't so high as to make "weaker" ones useless/unusable.

I am fully Boltreaver-ed, gear wise, and I've never felt cooler. As mentioned by others, you can get him without burning SR tickets, unless you have unfortunate RNG issues. I got 2 in 3 R runs, and my buddy wound up having to burn an SR ticket to get Boltreaver, so YMMV. BTW, when he's flying, he will use almost no regular attacks, so don't worry overmuch about attack type, worry about the damn BS Aerial Sting and double attacks.
