Hey Hoxton, I worked there in 1997. I will give you some history, all the burberry shop stock use to come here through the side entrance and we use to check and tag the items to be shipped to the shops. Then all the stock the shops did not sell would cone back to us so we can send it downstairs to the factory

I used to go to the outlet that was further down the road. The headquarters is now in Horsferry Road in Westminster so the clothes are designed here in England but manufactured in China but some of the branding says 'Burberry Horseferry Road '

Up until the 80's the UK had a manual worker manufacturing base. Today a skilled worker in London needs to earn £50k per year. If Burberry were to relocate their manufacturing base back to the UK, the increase in labor costs would be substantial. Burberry Group plc's primary objective is to return profits to shareholders, which necessitates maintaining the lowest possible manufacturing costs. HOX, you're a smart guy and already know this.

Worked for the brand for 7 years…trench coats are made in Castleford and scarves in Scotland, leather products and quite a bit of RTW in Italy, a portion of RTW in China…

Why i dont buy burberry overpriced stuff. Went ti the shop and saw the shirt made in thailand and theyre trying to charge £300!!!! Probably cost less than £10 to make

Me and boys used to go there from school back in 97. From Holloway Boys to Hackney and there was also a YSL factory on Seven Sisters Road behind Hornsey baths. £30 for polos and jeans which i still have to this day but not getting into waist 28s no more though 😂

I think it was before 1997 Burberry were selling cloths in that building as an outlet. Probably 1994. Either that or they just use to clear cloths in 1994/95 for pennies from what I can remember.

I use to go here back in the early 2000’s to get my Burberry tee’s and tie’s. I wear the ties to school thinking I was money 🤣🤦🏾‍♂️. I think Burberry lost its credibility back in 2001/2002 when it Daniella Westbrook was papped with her baby all head to toe in Burberry to the point the pram interior was Burberry. In the movie Kidulthood with the Burberry cap scene, that was filmed in house of Fraser or John Lewis.

Surely the same as all the other big brands, they sold out. Not sure anything is made where it originated anymore. Stone island, Burberry Moncler etc, all made in the cheapest places. If you look at all the big brands lv, Tom Ford, they are all under a big company umbrella.

Because the cost of Labour etc etc, we used to go BURBERRY factory (Mayor Street) when we were teenagers 😊. This brought backbone memories man. Great video ✌💙. P. S. Used to get some bargains in there back in the day aswell.

Back in the day late 80s I used to run with some hooligans in Sheffield and some guys had Burberry golf jackets if had 1 of them you was like a top boy or Rich ,if you turned the collars up it had the Burberry pattern on the was wicked 💯👍… another top video 💯

Burberry used to have stores across the country there was one in Glasgow city centre at the end of the late 90s and I'm sure there was outlet based in York again early to mid 00s

The Burberry store in Glasgow was in the main shopping street, Buchanan Street. Second busiest shopping street in the UK after Oxford Street, London. I remember bagging the Nova check lambswool scarves in camel and navy in the sale and selling them for about treble the money a few years later.. Result !

Here some history for U my brother hoxton,...back in the 86 Burberry also had a small bespoke shop in walthamstow central, just on the corner of stanforth rd no74, and just of st Mary's rd, ...tailormade exclusive pieces that were only available on special order. The shop was very low key, currently a hairdresser a shop that now out of business.

I used to live down the road in London Fields and used to get my clothes, hats well cheap. £30-£40 for jeans and jumpers if i can remember lol It has changed a lot 😂

I live in south wales now and I’ve been told there was a Burberry factory in the Rhondda valley and they used to let clothes for for really cheap. Shame it’s all gone abroad now for manufacturing
