Yeah, pretty underwhelming show. But Soniya was the best part of the show! She absolutely nailed it! And most of my questions were in both of the Honest trailers and pitch meeting too. Like why couldn't they do something like New Asgard, why does Ebony Mays rings show up? How can the battle even end if both of them have healing powers (that's what I thought when I was watching the show and the the battle began; but after I saw the conclusion I was disappointed). I was kind of sad that Pitch meeting did not mention about Sonya, she was one of the only redeeming parts of the show.

The Asgardians look human, but that's not the point. There merely was a very small number of Asgardian refugees. And they brought alien technology with them to share with Earth. And they openly asked for asylum, and were peaceful, and started a small commune in a culture that already knew their royal family as the gods of old. The skrulls came in secret, there was a million of them, they felt entitled to demand a whole new uninhabited colonizable habitable planet from the non-spacefaring humans or else they would start WW3... after having already infiltrated human society and politics and media!!

Okay, I sadly skipped the series after hearing how bad it was (I was really looking forward to it!), but on the point about Nick and CM not being able to find a new planet... umm, isn't Titan available? 🤔 It's not like Thanos and his people are using it anymore. Sure, they died in wars over dwindling resources, but surely there's enough resources left to support the straggling Skrull refugees, and those resources can replenish over time, until the Skrull population eventually catches up and surpasses replenishability.

I have said this a few times around now. This show should’ve been a movie. The steaks were to high not to be. This should’ve been a movie that takes place after the new Fantastic 4 movie that way Super Skrull can actually get the Fours Powers Also i saw someone say this. It has been confirmed some way that Rhodey has been a Skrull since civil war. Which means that there was a Skrull who was on Thanos’ garden planet and didn’t think to tell the other Skrulls And i think that while i think for the majority Ai shouldn’t replace humans for everything. The ai opening i think really fit the vibe rhey were going for
@summertyme5748 Жыл бұрын
Confirmed that phase 4 and 5 is complete trash and that MCU ended at End Game, just like Star Wars ended at Return of the Jedi. Rhodie was a Skrull = Somehow Palpatine lives = STFU trying to RIP OFF your own IP. 🤣

You mean, 10 things Secret Invasion shit the bed at. Needlessly and randomly killing off established characters like Maria Hill. Introducing new characters no-one gave a crap about. Making us hate even those Skrulls we were supposed to feel sympathetic towards, because they were whiny and entitled. Completely screwing up the timeline of previous, great MCU movies and retroactively ruining the scene of Tony Stark's funeral by implying Rodey had been a Skrull at that time. The fuck? Boring CGI battles. Turning nick Fury whose core attributes are "being badass" and "knowing what is going on and having a plan up his sleeve" into an old washed out clueless guy who trusted the wrong people and needs to be bailed out by a Mary-Sue female character with OP powers (who seemed to switch up her loyalties every 5 min, so the audience never felt sympathy for her), as in the end the day is won by a CGI superpowers punching match between two equally ridiculously overpowered characters we dont care about

That series did the ultimate storytelling sin: It managed to make Secret Invasion plot dull and boring. And it was determined to turn a character like Nick Fury whose core attributes are "being badass" and "knowing what is going on and having a plan up his sleeve" into an old washed out clueless guy who trusted the wrong people and needs to be bailed out by a Mary-Sue female character with OP powers (who seemed to switch up her loyalties every 5 min, so the audience never felt sympathy for her), as in the end the day is won by a CGI superpowers punching match between two equally ridiculously overpowered characters we dont care about. And because Gaia survived, we now have _yet another_ insanely overpowered character with plot-device powers in the MCU... but hey, at least her powers are not "random barely defined light-based sparkle-powers that do whatever the writers need in a given scene", right? No, they're just stolen from established and more beloved characters, which she can now all outclass while being the angry alien immigrant power-girl and thus can never be wrong or be critized... she is basically the textbook definition of a Mary-Sue!

Actually the writers are on strike because: a) They want job security regardless of actual project needs, economic realities, and requirements because only now they realized their jobs are gig jobs that come and go as shows come and go. b) They want to be paid up front as if a show is a hit regardless of whether it bombs or not (in other words, they want all the benefits of the success of a show but none of the responsibility for it). c) And because they just now realized they aren’t as indispensable and essential as they thought they were. The gravy train of the streaming bubble has bursted and they are desperate to force it to keep it going now that they are faced with the real world and its realities. Don’t be fooled by their appeal to present themselves as the ‘victims’. They created the conditions of their own demise themselves even if they pretend otherwise.
@OnMyMindEntertainment Жыл бұрын
There's definitely issues with all of this on both sides and some of it they didn't have control of. Streaming definitely had them take a big hit in their pockets since the residuals are not the same. There just needs to be a different way this all works in my opinion. At the end of the day they're just begging the people that still have all the power to give them more.
@JakkFrost1 Жыл бұрын
@@OnMyMindEntertainment they absolutely should be paid fairly up front, but residuals are icing on the cake. I don't know of any other industry that works that way. Architects and construction workers, for example, do they get residuals for every dollar of rent the owner of a building receives thereafter? At the very most, I think residuals are something that need to be negotiated on a per job basis, not a guaranteed part of the fee for work completed. If I'm not mistaken, that's how royalties work, actors have to negotiate them into the contract, but I could be wrong about that.
@haku8135 Жыл бұрын
The whole strike is happening because garbage writers are angry they aren't being paid more for crap like this.
