If there hasn’t been a ghibli movie inspired by this landscape than there needs to be… though there could and I haven’t watched it yet. I am so happy to see you guys following your dreams and traveling ❤️❤️ here is to all the adventures and bucket list items old and new

Wow!! That's my mom's home town. My wife and I took that hike with my cousin almost 30 years ago. Remember it just like yesterday. Yes we did the upsidedown viewing of it too. Thanks for showing it to the world!!

Congratulations Kiwi on achieving one of your Japanese dream days, even the weather was great for you, apart from the frozen morning.

Thank you! 🥰 Very glad we waited for a sunny day to finally see it! ❤️
What a great video! Is it the kind of rice used that makes the sake red? Why is it so rare?
@OshareJapan Жыл бұрын
Thank you! 😊 the rice they use is “ancient rice”, a kind of red wild rice! It’s the only brewery in Japan that uses it because the head brewer thought up the idea as part of her University thesis 😅 (shocking to think it hadn’t been tried before though!)

So lovely place!! Fantastic. Please come to ARIMA ONSEN, where we live.
I saw in a video about restaurants and hospitality places in Kyoto that will not accept admission of customers unless the customer has dined there before and will only send out the bill months later refusing to settle the bill ob the spot (which sounds like a totally messed up business model) - is this true of your experience of places in this city?
@OshareJapan Жыл бұрын
Oh absolutely not, Kyoto is generally really hospitable, though there may be some high-end places like that which we can’t afford to find out about 😅😂. The closest thing to that level of exclusivity I’ve seen is snack bars (local old man karaoke spots) where they have their own bottle of alcohol behind the bar haha. Oh, and one place in Nakano in Tokyo that forbids people who can’t speak Japanese from entering 🙃. Otherwise nope! 😅
