FYI, that Gladiator has 2 batteries. The regular looking battery you are trying to charge, and a small battery underneath it. If the small one is dead you will always have power problems. Best thing to do is get the small battery bypassed and just use the larger normal battery.

Hi James. You can look at fitting lithium batteries to your vehicles with a restart function. if you flatten the battery, it will disconnect electrically at a certain voltage. Jump on the app on your phone and turn it back on enough for a startup! They also make them with the restart button on the battery itself. No trickle chargers needed.

Hey James, when you pull that orange strap in front of the shifter. All that does is unlock the shifter like it would when you put your foot on the brake. You still have to move the shifter into neutral to get it to disengage the parking brake

When you pulled the emergency park release on the gladiator, you have to pull it up until the locks in the upright position. After you have pushed it where you want it to go, you lightly pull the handle and use a small screwdriver to release the emergency release back to the at rest position.

@TheStradman the way you fix these issues is if you’re never gonna drive these cars just back in park them into your garage and boom you never have to worry again and have easy access to the hood of the car and can jump start it super easily without any issues.

If you still have the Start Stop Feature; the Gladiator has two batteries: auxiliary battery, and the main battery. More than likely the Gladiator has a dead auxiliary battery, which is interconnected with the main battery. If auxiliary battery is dead, the main battery will be trying to charge the auxiliary battery. Thus there won’t be enough juice to start the vehicle. You can take the auxiliary battery out of the loop, by going into the PDC box and “jump” Post 1 & 2. That will at least get the Gladiator started, and you can move it. I would still replace both batteries, IF you still have them. Another potential problem is a “parasitic power drain”, somewhere within the electrical system. That would be a more in-depth diagnosis.
