Hi guys! This cover is actually quite old - I recorded it 4 years ago! It has been lying in wait all this time because it was part of a very big project which was finally released today!

ABOUT THE LYRICS:
I met my friend Chaeley here on youtube quite a few years ago. She has been extremely generous in her help and advice and has assisted me in quite a few projects so far. Her specialty is Latin. When I took this song on as a project, I asked for her help in translating my lyric ideas into Latin and then re-writing them to fit the melody. She did a wonderful job! It definitely helped that she is a musician herself ^0^
ABOUT THE VIDEO:
All the artwork in the video was drawn by myself! woo hoo! But as I struggled to finish all the drawings by the release date of the album, I developed a very gnarly writer's callous.... Gonna give my hands a rest from crosshatching for a long while!

When I was young, I was supposed to learn two of my ancestral languages. I studied some German but my grandfather died before he could teach me both German and Latin. Being a lazy boy, I didn't pursue German much and Latin not at all. In my old age, I regret those decisions. And with this song, even more so. Is it ever too late? When one ages, short-term memory decreases and it is that which makes successful learning of a language possible. Yes, it can be too late for some things. Don't wait til you are old: learn all you can now.

CUUUUUUUUUUTE. :3 Just Vivi, and then Garnet and Freya and the funny Amarant picture and Garnet laughing at whatever Zidane is reading and then Eiko and then VIVI'S PICTURE I just, I just can't. You've taken my favourite game with my favourite characters and drawn a story that perfectly shows their personalities while being so adorable, at the same time singing latin with CORRECT PRONUNCIATION (you'd be surprised how rare that is), and the lyrics along with the focus on Vivi perfectly encapsulating the theme of memory and Vivi's journey throughout the story, and it's all set to the music from one of my favourite places in the game (the one I'd live in if I lived on Gaia) Perfection. The noises that came out of my mouth while watching were inhuman. This is perfection. It makes me so happy. There was a huge smile on my face throughout the entire video. It must have been so hard to keep this from us for four whole years. :D

Ooh damn you really nailed that whimsical feeling. I love how innocent and upbeat the lyrics are, like childhood musings. I'm such a sucker for places like the Secret Library in games. I always want to just stay there, soaking up the atmosphere. It's a hideaway within a hideaway. =) In fact, I love finding hidden lost corners in real life libraries where no-one goes and picking a random book and reading by myself. This version of the song just finds the heart of that feeling. Childlike reflection on a secret library full of past times and magical stories. Beautiful. =) Edit: Oh! I wake up the morning of my birthday, grab some cereal and look in my subscriptions. The first thing I see is a new arrangement from one of my favorite music artists, of a track from my favorite game. Then, I read your description and see that a whole 58 track album of music from this game just came out. Just...wow. +Lucien Pendragon to be fair Latin is a dead language. We really do not know exactly *how* the words were pronounced in reality. We can only make educated guess and while I am happy to concede that the person who helped Erutan is a profession in the language I cannot be nit picky about pronunciations of a dead language when the accompanying melody is so amazing.

+gskaloyan To make matters worse when it comes to Latin, there are 2 unique styles of pronunciation: Classical (which is closer to modern day Italian pronunciation) and Ecclesiastical (used by the Catholic Church). For this song, it sounds like she's using Classical which is the version commonly taught in some schools these days. Also, she did this so beautifully I forgot about the pronunciation after a minute or so...
