I don't get the issue, its a 23 year old game, which they'll never do anything with. You'd think they'd be happy someone liked it enough to remake it themselves. I'll never forget this song and the moment in FFIX that it accompanied. It was such an incredible moment, both heartbreaking and beautiful to see Zidane try to forsake his friends and handle the burden himself. But after everything he's done for them, they'd never let that happen. It was wild to see one of the most positive main characters in the entire Final Fantasy universe take a turn and really hit rock bottom, only to have his friends save him.

One year, my parents sent me to Portugal to be with my Grandpa but I was way too young to be an actual care taker and ended up feeling very alone with no transport in another country I could only kinda navigate. I brought my PS1 and this game, plugged it into a European TV and with a power transformer, jet-lagged and stuck for two months, I played this game in black and white feeling totally alone with the exception of my Grandpa. Soon after, I discovered this song and have never forgotten it. Recently I replayed FFIX with the love of my life and here I am, back for more.
