I was watching Taylor on Nick Viall’s podcast and apparently when Taylor crossed the line from soft swinging to actual swinging, she was blackout drunk and the partner was…. At least sober enough to drive and pick her up. She doesn’t even remember crossing the line, but could tell something happened from the shape she was in, in the morning. She was clear that she doesn’t consider it SA… but…. I think… there is a possibility that the Mormon’s teachings on the women being..: almost responsible for men’s sexual purity (at least responsible for tempting them)(like talked about with Whitney). I appreciate her taking responsibility… but I was super surprised to hear that she was black out drunk when that line was crossed, yet she somehow is taking all the responsibility… it feels so backwards.

That moment where they are talking about the tinder scandal just screams mormon to me (as a nevermo but my inlaws are mormon) because there seems to be this constant tendency to downplay, dismiss, ignore or twist 'bad' or 'negative' emotional situations either by trying to ignore it until it goes away or 'find the silver lining' a.k.a do some mental gymnastics to make it sound positive instead of negative. It's so unhealthy the way they supress certain emotions or gloss over others' emotions

Can’t wait for you two to watch & review the rest of the episodes. I’m curious to hear shelise go over the background & noticable Mormon tropes & Amanda to discuss the similarities between the order. The order is def a far stricter cult but it’ll be interesting to see how many similarities. Idk if they’ll excommunicate them cuz I still think they may find them trying to bring in the youth & giving the illusion of it being a great religion & making it seem like we have it wrong, ppl are so dramatic a good thing for church numbers & PR. Especially if they don’t start speaking poorly about the church, if/when that happens I think they’ll excommunicate but it’ll be interesting to see!!

So, I’ve been really late to this show bc when my oldest, Kid#1, started telling me about it, I felt like I watched a shit ton of Mormon info on here already & didn’t need to take on any more. Then last night the 1st six videos recommended to me on KZbin were responses to the show, so I binged it so that I could watch my fav ex-mormons respond to the show.

Alas, the other channel I was hoping to hear from & bonus- I 🩷 Amanda Rae. I could write an entire paper on my thoughts…&& if I get the chance during my mental health counseling major I WILL! I found a way to write one of my final papers on the intersectionality between family vlogging, high demand religions, corrupt counselors & trauma & was quite proud.😂

I was horrified at how passe the lady was with her labiaplasty. When you REALLY delve into what is actually happening with it and the LACK of critical training of the professionals doing it, why would any woman want a most wonderful part of her body potentially deformed. It's basically "culturally acceptable" FGM.

Their is a better option that doesn’t involve surgery, their are more than one way but I would rather have my PRP used since it comes from the liquid gold in the blood & is very surprisingly powerful when done by a trained physician. The idea of someone cutting me apart down there sounds so painful & risking nerve damage. Just doesn’t seem like something I’d want to do!

They said they edited it to look like that. It was hours after Whitney’s revelation. They were all sharing and catching up. I think producers initially thought Taylor would be the villain and Whitney would be more likable character. Whitney chose to make Taylor the scapegoat and act like she left the continental US because of Taylor. They all knew the rumors about Whitney’s husband

I could be wrong because I was a bad tithing payer... I was told that they encouraged to pay if you WANTED to come back... but I have also heard some bishops would say he don't want money that isn't from faithful but then when you rejoin they make you back pay. That is what I heard along time ago. But I never truly know since I cared so little cause rarely had money to pay
@nataliecrockett3 ай бұрын
That is false. If a bishop says you have to back pay, there is something wrong with that bishop. There is nothing in the general handbook or church doctrine that’s says you must back pay to rejoin.
@padfootdoggy3 ай бұрын
@@nataliecrockett I said I could be wrong. I just heard both of those things by active members. I said I wasn't sure. One of those members used almost their WHOLE tax return to paying tithing cause they missed times here and there. Do you pay tithing?
@nataliecrockett3 ай бұрын
@@padfootdoggyi know you said you could be wrong. Sorry if my response made you feel on the defensive. I just was communicating that it is wrong what others may have claimed. When I hear others say they were told to do something I do know is completely false, I want to defend. There is the doctrine of the church, then there is the culture of the church. Often times it’s the culture of the church that causes problems for others and to leave the church because the culture can be pretty judgmental. I’ve experienced that judgement at times, but I stay in the church because I believe in Christ and his gospel. I follow his gospel, and anything people say that is contrary to those teachings, I ignore. Yes, I do pay tithing.
@padfootdoggy3 ай бұрын
@nataliecrockett ok. Glad you haven't had to do that. I know I was told to pay my tithing. So when others say something like what I heard I don't doubt it. It's ok glad we could talk it out and even if we don't change each other's minds it is all good. I just know what I heard. But like I said could be wrong. Things for being open about it and taking the time and talking. =)
@nataliecrockett3 ай бұрын
@@padfootdoggythat’s interesting someone used their whole tax return. That’s their choice. Many people have their own way of thinking of how to pay tithing. All the church has said is to pay 10% of their increase. There is no guideline of when to pay. I know people who save their money for tithing to pay in one lump some at the end of the year. I know people who pay based on their gross pay or based on net pay amount. It’s between you and God of how you will pay.

They had a bunch of the girls on Viall Files podcast yesterday & I think it’s another thing worth doing commentary on because IMO & based on my knowledge of the churches rules I think they lied about some of their answers relating to the church’s teachings & doctrine to make it sound better than it actually is.
