What I can't seem to understand is why they chose to do this on National television. That's ridiculous to me. That's added pressure.

@coolbeandumpsterbaby11 жыл бұрын
honestly, at that point in life it's up to the parents to reach out to the child and let them know they're able to communicate with them. I have such a close relationship with my parents. I can literally tell them anything knowing I wouldn't be judged or anything. They trust me and that's the best thing in the world.

This is the way I am with my mom. Growing up she was so strict with me. I didn't feel like I could tell her anything because I saw her as my authority figure and not a friend. Heck! The only way my mother would know if I wasn't a virgin is when i'm pregnant because i'm sure as hell not gonna just tell her. (pregnant after marriage of course :) )
@briannaboyd852610 жыл бұрын
I am. I feel like its kind of sad. We didn't even have the 'birds and the bees' talk, yet if something would have happened to me all hell would break loose. I feel like there's nothing wrong with being a friend and being strict when necessary.@liacashmere58
@Leniese9211 жыл бұрын
Exactly. I lost mine at 15 as well but I was also on birth control, I used protection, I got tested every month, and I was an honor roll student. I feel parents and adults in general need to think back to when they were teens and remember all the shit they did.
@branditillison161211 жыл бұрын
I am happy to say I am still a virgin and I am 18 right now. I think it' a shame to say it like that but it's true. A statistic that only women over 25 took shows that they regret loosing their virginity when they were in their teens because that aren't married to that person now or even dating them. Girls need to admit it that when we have sex we always get our feelings involved with it. the reason I haven't had sex yet is because I still don't think I'm ready for it and that is something I came up with on my own and not from my parents telling me to think that way. Not to put anyone down if they aren't a virgin though just my opinion :)

A child only knows how to appreciate there parents when they have children. Try to understand your parents they do everything they can to make you happy and for you to get mad when you cant hang out with a friend or they wont buy you something. Love them and get over yourself you never know when you wont see them or hug them or even kiss them goodnight or wish them a great day so say you love them you will eventually thank them so say you love them and meen it. God bless you all.

these things happen all the time when parents pressure their child so much (sometimes unconsciously )and they're forced to act like goody-goody and when their parents eyes are not on them, they start to do things their parents wouldn't even think that they are able to do. Most do that just to show they have a life and they're not a robot. so parents, don't shut your door of communication, let your kids ask whatever they want no matter how awkward it is. and kids... talk!

However, there is always a certain age at which you can't really relate to your parents anymore. With me too. I loved her and everything, then around my fourteenth birthday till my sixteenth I just couldn't stand her anymore. Then suddenly it was all fine again and it still is. Only yesterday we went to the movies together.
@DieAnnaSaurusRexx13 жыл бұрын
I think that a lot of teens see things in movies/TV that show cliques and dramatic high school experiences and believe that that is the way it is, some of the kids who are popular and problematic want their life to be like what they see on TV. It goes without saying that some kids do have real problems at home can cause these problems, but sometimes if feels like kids go out of their way to do these things. I'm a senior and have never done any of these things.
