My aunt and uncle got married when she was 15 and he was 18, they were so in love, been married ever since and have three beautiful grown kids. It's the role of the dice, some people can get married this young, some can't.
@Kilzu111 жыл бұрын
Yes some people can but it's best to wait at least until you got well paid job because marriage and raising kids isn't same thing like babysitting and having room mate. But those people don't seem to understand that the guy over there would have to quite literally work himself to death just to be able to barely afford doctor and vaccine bills which baby needs

I'm 15 and I believe that I COULD be mature enough to get married if I had to. However, I don't think I am right now.
@violetchapman337111 жыл бұрын
I honestly don't have a clue why she's 15 and wants to get married to this guy who is 18 with a brain of a 12 year old and so does she have a 12 year old brain. Her mother is a prime example of struggling as a teen mom with 2 kids who couldn't make it and this is how ONE of her kids turn out. The mother is at fault for this because clearly if she had set her rules from the beginning and instilled that she's 15 and her boyfriend is of "legal" age, that crosses the line. Tyra isn't trying to embarrass this girl, or come off as a bad host but she's treating her like a child WHAT SHE IS, and treating her like Katie is her own child to make her aware of her childish choices for when she grows up to be successful if she chooses. Tyra repeats EVERY statement because she is SHOCKED, it's not unheard of to hear these things, yes they are common nowadays and its Katie's choices to do what she wants. Katie is 15 who will regret this when she gets MATURE, Tyra wants to avoid this because she's a talk show host to assess these situations happening in the world.

you know what pissed me off, how katelyn actually opened up to tyra and cried explaining why she does this and just completely dismisses it and cuts to the break, ignoring the possible reason on why she thinks its okay to do this.

I'm 19 years old, even though I've been on Birth Control since I was 16, AND we used protection, and I was freaking out because I thought my boyfriend had gotten me, pregnant, right before we broke up, I still didn't want to get married! He is 26 years old. We both had jobs, he has his own place, he has a car. NEVER did I EVER think I wanted to get married to him! I was NOT pregnant, but even if I had been, I wouldn't have even considered being with him unless he wanted to be apart of the child's life.

I know how she feels....it's tough when you're so young and you feel like you have all these responsibilities and your mum always relies on you because she has no other support. you desire for someone else to be there for you, appreciate you as a person... not condoning any of her actions but just saying that what she's FEELING is natural. I'm just thankful that even though I was raised by a solo mum, she still instilled values in me since birth and raised me in

This brings back so many memories... I was engaged at 16 (almost 17) and I thought I was so ready to get married, in fact we looked for ways around the laws so we could be married before I turned 18... The guy turned out to be an abuser, and an alcoholic and I am so glad I broke up with him before we tied any knots, but at one point I thought I was ready, I thought we were the perfect couple. I'm 23 and single now and I am so happy it didn't happen.. stories like this make me sad.

I know someone who dropped out of high school and busted their ass to raise their kids. She's a great mother and would do anything for them. They are happy, healthy, and doing great in school. I don't think education necessarily plays a part in raising children. Its about maturity and being able to provide for yourself and your kids.

My mom will always come first in my life if she raised me by herself. I'm lucky enough to have both my parents raised me for the past 14 years and they are still raising me to be a good responsible independent girl. I wouldn't even have to think twice about if I wanted to choose my boyfriend or my mom because I love my mom and she will always come first. Have a little respect for your parents because one day they won't be there for you anymore and then you would have to fight your own battles.

Im sorry,but she is NOT being judgemental or condescending.She is doing what most shows dont and thats speaking her mind,giving it to them straight and not sugar coating anything. Situations like these,you CANT be soft you gotta be stern and guess what?They NEED that. See?if she wasnt stern and harsh,that kid wouldnt rethink and and come to her senses. Im sure she talked about it alot with her mum at home. Im glad Tyra's like this. Shes stopping mistakes before it goes too far. How is that bad?
