I was in the supermarket yesterday and saw this guy in his 60's who looked so familiar. I was about 80% sure it was my childhood friend's father. I haven't seen these people in close to 20 years, but I decided to go and see if it was him and it turns out it was. He remembered me (I was at his house all the time from ages 5-10ish, I'm 32 now). All of a sudden some guy who looks to be about 20ish comes over and I realize it's his other son. I knew this kid when he was just born, and now here he is standing in front of me all grown up. It made me feel old, even though 32 really isn't. But I get what you mean about how seeing something suddenly reminds you of how much time has passed by.

A lot of SoM's translation (among other things) got lost in the second half of the game due to SNES limitations at the time. It's a long shot, but I really hope that maybe they fix that this time around.

the secret of mana graphics are a direct translation of the sprites into 3d. also, these are the exact models used in rise of mana during the secret of mana campaign

Secret of Mana's co-op was way ahead of its time. Everything multiplayer is being developed as a "competitive esports" game these past few years. Would be great if we could get some new, COOPERATIVE multiplayer experiences. Also Mana's OST is so great!

Me, my brother and one of either my or brother's friends played Secret of Mana a lot under whole SNES area to even since N64 came out in Sweden. I actually checked save files and all of our game files still active. ^_^ I love Mana so much and still hope for a real English translation of it. (i am also talking about Secret of Mana collection that actually my brother has ordered and i hope it come soon with out copy.) Love your videos Alpha. Keep it up.

I,ll tell you the order , first is 0 which is prequel to 1 , then 1 or kiwami which is a remake of 1 , then 2 then 3 then 4 the 5 then 6 , they are already doing kiwami 2 which is a remake of the yakuza 2 , Damn what a time to be yakuza fan , Start with zero it is epic man , then go in order that i mentioned .

Adventures of Mana released in 2016 to celebrate the Mana series 25th anniversary. Secret of Mana is its sequel and will release in the 25th anniversary of that particular installment, not the series as a whole which would be 27 years old at that point.

The cover image for Secret of Mana made me feel so nostalgic for the 90s. In the sad way. It's kinda like seeing the background images and gifs for SNES games and they make you realize those days are not coming back. The style and technique used for the images are of a bygone era. Sure, modern artists get pretty close and are good, but it's just not the same.

I had preordered Yakuza 0 before because I enjoyed Yakuza 2 back on the ps2. Now, I'm waiting for Yakuza Kiwami to ship, and I preordered Yakuza 6 with the bar glasses. I did try out the Yakuza 6 demo and I liked how the transition from going to shops was smooth and no longer needed loading.

I was late to Yakuza. I started with 5 that was PSN only unfortunately, but I rented Yakuza 0, became enthralled, bought that in a heartbeat. Went hunting and found 3, 4, and Dead Souls. Now I can finally play the first Yakuza because finding the PS2 versions at my local secondhand stores was getting futile. So with that being said, I'm hoping we get the other two spin offs, maybe even porting 3-5 and Dead Souls to PS4 because that would be heavenly to own 5 physically. Also, having an uncensored version of 3 would be a nice bonus. Can't wait for Kiwami, I have it in my sight.

Got so excited when I heard you mention the Secret of Mana 3D remake. That shit was my favorite game on the SNES. Now the one thing I'm wondering about is if it will have some of the removed content brought back? Because I still remember that the original game was meant to be on the CD expansion to the SNES. But when Nintendo cancelled that deal, they had to cut back a lot of things. As much as I love the original game, it was obvious with quite a few graphical and audio bugs that were present. Not to mention areas of the game that had absolutely no purpose at all. We'll see! Even if they don't do any of that, I'm still so excited for this remake! As far as Yakuza goes, I've actually never played any of the games. But it sounds like now would be the perfect time to jump in and be converted into a fan. Even if I don't end up playing for a while, still excited anyway because I know how much people love that series too. Awesome shit!
