Okay, my thoughts on this. First off, I envy your ability to go so long in a single take. I have to read a script, and then usually have to retry most of my lines because I just fail at talking. Second, OMG Wave Race 64, yes. I love that game so much. I also got it for Christmas, and I had zero interest in it. But I played it because my family got it for me and I wanted to be nice, but it was so fun that I am glad my family did get it for me. Finally, gonna mention a game that you didn't mention - Tetrisphere. Easily my favorite Tetris game. Take a ball of tetrads, try to reveal the core, and there you go, that's Tetrisphere. And it was awesome because it had some cool techno music and power-ups, and you had different modes including puzzle mode and vs. mode. Loved that game. And I'm not usually a fan of puzzle games, either.

Just so you know, if it exceeds 21 games, then its probably going to cost more than $80. I'm pretty sure that they would come out with the GameBoy classic first (hopefully) just to give them more time to get the N64 ready with better software. Now, as for the list, here are (from my point of view) games that have the best possibility to get onto the N64. They not only have to be popular, but also needed to sell well, and be relevant even by todays standards. So, that means that if its never been mentioned before until this list, there's not a great possibility. Also, I can only see at most 12~15 being on the N64 classic since having more would be overkill... Now, let me do this in order, with little to no reason as to why I say what I say: 1. Definite 2. Good possibility 3. Not a good possibility 4. Good possibility 5. Definite 6. Definite 7. Definite 8. Good possibility 9. Good possibility 10. Definite 11. Not a good possibility 12. Definite 13. Definite 14. Not a good possibility 15. Not a good possibility 16. Possible 17. Not sure 18. Not sure 19. Possible 20. Possible 21. Possible 22. Good possibility 23. Good possibility 24. Good possibility 25. Not sure 26. ... 27. ... So, from the info we have, there are 7 definites that are still tied to Nintendo that they can bring back that also sold well. That is Mario 64, Donkey Kong 64, Mario Kart 64, Kirby 64, Legend of Zelda, Super Smash Bros, and Star Fox 64. There are about 5~8 spots left. Then we have 7 good possibilities. That's Harvest Moon, Bomberman, Mystical Ninja, Yoshi's Story, Pokemon Snap, F-Zero X, and Paper Mario. Then, if at most, there is only one spot left, and there are about four possibilities: Mega Man 64, Doom 64, Resident Evil 2, and Goldeneye 007. That at most is actually 18 spots already taken. Even if we take out a few, we cannot ask for it to hold more than ~15 since the games for the N64 are about ~$10 a piece. Having Nintendo give 15 games away for the price of $80 is very generous when separately they should cost ~$150. And we still haven't added Majora's Mask, Conker's Bad Fur Day, or a good few others to this list. This isn't some emulator, this is something from Nintendo that holds our favorite games in one place.

Brendan Searls You're goddamn right. I have so much fond memories with playing that shit with my 2 older brothers and at sleepovers when my cousin would sleep over, we would have so many fun hours of 4 player action and just having a fun old time. Also Paper Mario is a must have. I can't even tell you how many times I have played and beaten it. I replay it once every year because of how much I love it. It's like renewing your wedding vows. What sucks though if Goldeneye would be on this then Perfect Dark can't be because of how similar yet different they are. Both are great games though and so much fun if you have brothers to play it with.

I want more people to be able to experience the wonders of the N64 that didn't get the chance to Shadows of the Empire, Banjo Kazooie, 007, Shadow Man, Pokemon snap, Rush, 1080 snowboarding, Pokemon stadium 1 & 2. The kids born in the '00's NEED these games in their lives ;D . Man those wrastlin' games creating the character was sometimes better than the game, except for the insane glitches. Also these games need the ability to put in the debug codes and such, not the gameshark just the in game codes.

The N64 had a hard time with good third parties, so I feel most of the ones they will do are gonna be their own published/developed ones for N64. I think the only genuine good ones from non Nintendo developer/publisher were the Turok games, Shadow Man, Bomberman 64, Mystical Ninja, Resident Evil 2, Rayman 2, Ridge Racer 64, Gex games and Doom 64. I am sure there are others though. I don't refer to licenses like 007 because that's gonna be very hard to get. In terms of Rare Ltd, which I know people will always want, it's driving a hard bargain with Microsoft. They could get away with Diddy Kong Racing with negotiation and Donkey Kong 64 as both of these are trademarked MORE with Nintendo in my eyes. Microsoft could cut a little slack with these two.

It's one of the few games for the N64 that emulates poorly, Especially for the Nvidia Shield Portable (my favourite portable device for emulation). I already have a copy of it on ps1. The Playstation store in South Africa does not offer it either. Also the N64 version of the game had some of it's own features, and I just want to get hold of it because I like collecting Resident Evil stuff.

The issue with the N64 is that a lot of the good games on there can be played with up to four players. So Nintendo can do four things to facilitate this: - Include 4 controllers. The most expensive option out of the gate. - Limit it to 2 controllers, which will really hurt it. - Make the plugs on the console 100% compatible with actual N64 controllers. This allows them to bundle only 2 controllers and let people use their own, but this favors those who have been playing since the N64 era and those with money to buy the controlers on the aftermarket. - Bundle 2 controllers, and sell additional controllers seperately. If Nintendo is smart (and it's often not) they'll add a converter in there so you can use your N64 controller for certain Switch games, or maybe even the 3DS. The ballsiest and most difficult option.

Paper mario!!! I remember being dropped off at school one winter day i was 9, and turned out school was canceled for snow. The few faculty that was there couldn't get a hold of my parents so one the teachers took me cross country skiing on some nearby trails while the principle figured out what to do with me, they got a hold my older brother (14yrs older than me). He came picked me up and said he had a surprise for me at home......got home and heard not only was school cancelled all week, my brother bought me paper mario! For me, I never really played the wrestling games on 64 but Hybrid Heaven was a weird combination of wrestling and rpg style mechanics that for some reason I loved. However, almost every game you listed is WAY more important to be on but I would still like to see it make it. Great video!

The reason is that the game has serious emulation problems that makes it unplayable due to Factor 5 pushing the N64's limits by rewriting the N64's microcode. Their other games; Battle for Naboo and Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine(which I would love to see) has the same issues too.

Great vid and lineup of games. I don't think I'd change anything besides adding something like Golf or Tennis as you added towards the end. Oh, and maybe Diddy Kong Racing. I do think issues with Rare could end up halting this project as they helped produce a great number of "must have" titles. Regardless, I still have my N64 hooked up at all times. It's probably my favorite console ever, right after the SNES.

Schmidteren Perfect Dark suffered from being dated as soon as it was released. It was an improvement on GoldenEye for sure, but it wasn't an improvement on the likes of Half-Life. GoldenEye set the bar, but Perfect Dark missed the memo that it had been raised a lot higher in the meantime.

I hate the Switch but it would make more sense to stop making plug and play shit such as the SNES mini NES mini and talks of N64 mini. It's stupid, they don't even play all the games becuase their cart slots are just there for looks. Mean while a real NES SNES and N64 has the correct hardware to play carts. I own SNES and N64, I'll stick to the real consoles over Nintendo's plug and play shit of them.

I wouldn't want genres clogging it up, but my list would be mostly racing games, as that is what I had and played on my N64. Vigilante 8, V8 2nd Offense, Cruis'n USA/World/Exotica, Diddy Kong Racing, Demolition Derby 64, Destruction Derby, RUSH/2, Ridge Racer 64, Top Gear Overdrive/Rally, Lego Racers, Hot Wheels Turbo Racing, California Speed, Off Road Challenge, Penny Racers, Micro Machines 64, Re-Volt, even the Star Wars racing game... I'd be hyped if at least 3 of those games made it to the N64 classic, if/when it gets made.

Oh and your mention of the N64 DD reminded me that Nintendo should go ahead and give the Ura Zelda expansion pack the Starfox 2 treatment. I know most of it's assets went to stuff like Majora's Mask and even Wind Waker/Twilight Princess. But I would seriously love to see what that project could have been at least.

The Nintendo 64 Mini would be the least appealing to be honest, because it would be missing so much due to licensing and the general lack of third-part support on that system when compared to the NES and SNES. They are pretty much limited to their first-party titles which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but there were a several great third-party games (from what little there was) that defined that system.

For me the problem with an N64 classic is exactly the opposite. Aside from your standard Mario, Zelda, Star Fox, Smash Bros, and other obvious picks; there's not much else. The good ones are: any game made by Rare, Shadows of the Empire, Perfect Dark, Turok, and there's plenty of others. Some games I can see making it, but the stuff that matters AKA the Rare games, I'll be surprised if a single one (Diddy Kong Racing being an exception) makes the list considering thar Microsoft owns the franchises. Kinda a problem with me I guess.
