If you asked me yesterday if you could turn the Tamagotchi Uni off I would have told you NO. Today the internet is going crazy as a secret OFF option was added to the Uni in the latest update! Get on Wifi, update your Uni to version 1.4.1, and follow along with this video to see exactly how you can turn off your Tamagotchi Uni.

I was so excited when I heard about this. I grew resentful of my Uni because I always had to wait DAYS for the battery to die and by then I'd be so sick of it and wanting to switch to a different tama. I love the Uni so much more now and actually turned it on for the first time in a while. I was also so worried how letting the battery fully run out all the time would affect the longevity of the device in the long run. I bought both purple and pink at release, now I finally feel comfortable to turn on my purple one!

I haven't been able to run a different Tama since the Uni came out because I want to participate in all the events. Now I can turn it on when they start. Yay! It's finally here!

As a person that’s never had a tamagotchi. I bought one for my 6 year old daughter and she leaves for school. Your videos have been so helpful I didnt know I could turn this thing off

This is great to see! I’ve been wanting an uni for ages, but theres just so many times in my life I would need to shut the thing down for extended periods. Having to ruin the battery by constantly draining it was not something I was wanting to do. I’m glad they added this feature, even if hidden.

I've been running my Uni since July! Back in the box it goes! Was able to secure all but one character.

Yes this is the best! I have been so concerned with the rechargeable battery and the issues I know people have had with the Smart. This makes me feel so much better about it, and yes I can't wait for what is to come next!

I'm still new to the tamagotchi uni. If you fast forward time to the correct time, will it affect the hunger and affection meter based on the difference?

No the hunger and happiness will not change when you change the time.

my tamagotchi uni update ver is 1.5.0 , and i did as you showed but there was only two options 1-continue and 2- reset all , plz help what should i do ? 🥹 and excuse my english

Hi all! It worked for me. You have to hold the left and right buttons the entire time until the screen shows up. If you don’t you will see the normal screen.

Dang, I just installed the Patchi Off chip that I bought from Etsy a few days after Christmas. I don't regret supporting an independant creator, and it's good that this is finally an official option, but ahh it took so long.

@@JillGrygas It works fantastically, but you need to have something to hit the reset button with, which I'm used to since that was how I had to "pause" my Digimon version 20ths for a while.

That is correct, it won't die! When you turn it back on you will be in the same spot of the game as when you turned it off.

Hello, Thanks for your video :) I have version 1.5.0. And it doesn't work. I have only two options: continue or rebirth. It's normal ?

Reset it again, only this time hold down the left and right buttons until the screen shows up. You'll see the off option. I talk about it later in this video that if you let go too soon you'll only get the normal options for continue or reset :) Thank goodness version 1.5.0 did not take the off option away!
