I honestly believe they will. It also depends on the sales and how well received the connection series gets. But it would take a couple of years before they might be able to make them as there was an interview by tama palace with one of the developers I believe mentioned it takes around 2-3 years to complete making a tamagotchi and releasing it.

I feel like if this one is succesful they will release a Jinsei version that's a mashup of the v4 and Entama by giving it some of the extra features the Entama has but giving it more minigames, because Entama has very little of them (just 3 and the jobs feature no games at all unlike the v4 lol)

I don’t think so, their gimmicks are so espicific in comparison to v1 v2 and v3 that they would need to relaunch a whole other line under another name, and well, the fans just asked for connections back, not a specific line. Edit: Actually maybe they could do something like, Tamagotchi Connection: Familytchi or Tamagotchi Connection: Music Star, and wouldn’t need to specify their versions

Oh my God! I want this so bad! I have the original Connection, the one with no extra things, just the character, two games and two of each type of food. I still love it, though. The moment I saw this re-release I knew I wanted it, as I assumed it has newer options and extras. Now that I've seen you play with it I'm absolutely certain that I DO WANT THIS. A bummer, though: mine is in Spanish, and I checked Amazon Spain and there is NO Connection on preorder. I guess I'll have to use mine in English. I'd still love to have it, though. Thanks for sharing with us!

Cool!!! A V3 and Keitai hybrid. Nice to see the Connection make a comeback. I love the shell you got, and I see the Japanese ones have Melon Soda as a shell choice. I want that one, with the one you have as second choice. Definitely going to get this one. Nice to see the shop codes work. Too bad about the passwords not working though. I wonder if Walmart is selling them, since I work there. I got the R2D2, Hello Kitty, and PacMan Nanos from Walmart. Can't wait for July 9. (Jan Griffiths).

When the character roster was leaked, it took a me awhile to notice that Kurokotchi was missing…I was like “why wooltchi but not kurokotchi (same character I’m sure you know 😅) but I like how Ichigotchi and Ringotchi were added to this one. Also I immediately noticed the shop code on the manual is the same as the original V3 so I had a huge feeling that they’d work in the new connection

I was born in 2007 but I own multiple v-pets from digimon to evangelion, and I never got to experience the connection hayday, so I'm really exited that Bandai is re-releasing the connection and the v3 programing at that, I only ever got to experience the gen 1 reboot and the Nanos. Bandai has answered our prayers.

Don’t worry Europe is gonna have the same types of designs as the American release although most likely alittle later and they will be releasing 4 shells each season so expect more choices by the end of the year.

I find it really odd that bandai is releasing the Ketai V3 in the states since this isn't what most of us are used to on V3 connections. The pause feature alone will be very missed along with the jobs not being a thing. I wonder why they chose to do such a broad release for this particular model and not releasing the American V3 connection in the states.

Yes, there are C click animations. Yes, there is a light switch. No, there is no mail. That is a V4 function. Connection menu options are: Game, Present, Visit. It cannot connect with original connections though.

@@RyosukeTakahashiRX7 this workaround is so insanely antiquated in 2024, especially when the US connection release addressed it 20 years ago. why, 20 years after the solution to this was introduced, am i expected to go to the clock screen, wait for the clock to scroll over (not exactly quick), and then pause the clock so when i "unpause," i have to reset the clock all over again so it's at the correct time? having a workaround is good, but saying that the absence of this extremely low-effort QOL feature introduced 2 decades ago is "no big deal" is silly if you want the manufacturer to fix things in later waves.

@nico-wj1mh They don't want it to be pausable, it's that simple. They never wanted Tamagotchis to be paused. In all modern Tamas where it exists, it's a hidden feature as well. Just look at the Uni. It was added through an update, but never mentioned in the update notes or anywhere. A fan discovered it by chance and that's why the Uni can be paused at all.

@@RyosukeTakahashiRX7 first of all, you're describing things as they are, not how they ought to be. the market decides how products, especially ones as niche as this, get made and revised. every single person that knows about the workaround is a potential customer that could be lost by the absence of the feature. this is a niche product for a niche demographic; bandai will 100% be watching this comment section for pointers on the next wave, like the shells people have been complaining about since the instagram announcement, otherwise they wouldn't have reached out to people in the community in the first place, giving their time for interviews, etc. being like "they don't want to lol" is self-defeating. second, it probably took some development and QA effort to add it to the uni. do you think they would've done that if people didn't keep asking for it? do you think they would willingly burn employee hours on a feature nobody wants? and third, "never wanted tamagotchis to be paused" is an extremely weird thing to say when, again, this is a feature from 20 years ago. they clearly excluded it because their desire to not have it and the money saved implementing it was greater than the market demand. if you want it, then just...say that it's a feature you want.

I fail to see how customers would be in the picture at all given it was never mentioned anywhere and Bandai keeps insisting you can't pause the Uni. Try it yourself, ask their customer support. I did and their reply was that it's impossible to pause. Also, you genuinely think they've saved any money at all by not including a native pause feature? That's at most two lines of code lmao. You're making up so many excuses with your mental gymnastics because you can't accept the simplest and most obvious answer: it's done deliberately. They do not want you to pause. That's it. Ask the customer support yourself instead of wasting your time here making things up! Btw, the interview is uploaded now! They explicitly state they don't want you to pause because it's a real pet like any other cat or dog where you can't pause your responsibility either. That is Bandai's position!

Tamagotchis can not connect with the DS Corner Shop games. They only exchange codes. On the DS Corner Shop game, if you reach a certain level, you will see some codes. There are two codes. You can enter these codes into the V3 to receive a pen and a clone. However, in the video I already tried these codes and they didn't work sadly.
