I have the Monster Carnival shell and I LOVE it to bits. One thing I noticed, that I don't particularly care for: When you have multiple DL areas and you go to change it to a new one, the tamagotchi will say it will delete what you've already purchased through the previous DL area. Much sadness.

I just preordered the Angel Uni, I love the shell so much! I love that the cards unlock more tamagotchi so you don't need to buy a whole new device for the other version, definitely going to pick up the Monster and Sanrio cards

Thank you so much for pointing out Tamagotchi's lack of presence in Canada. You can pre-order the Connections, new Unis, or buy the two original Uni colors on GameStop Canada but I have never seen them in any stores outside of the Originals every once in a while but even that's dried up. It's a little weird cause like we have Toys R Us still. The On was sold there, even. I'm very passionate about this! Still so excited for all of these releases, though. It's honestly such a great time for Tamagotchi fans. And I totally feel you on not wanting to give up your Lovelitchi, this was me with Ichigotchi. She had the perfect personality and everything.

I've always wanted a color-screen tamagotchi since I was like? 11 or 12 and I wanted to find a way to get the id-L in my hands (but sadly, I cannot read Japanese and the English ID-L was EXTREMELY RARE since it was only found in 1 department store in London and Hong Kong) but the angel festival is REALLY making me wanna get it so much!! it's literally my aesthetic but having never had a tamagotchi even when all of my classmates had the connection growing up, I'm just so busy and i have no idea if there's a good way to "pause" the Uni :')

The Uni ones have a babysitter built in so you can leave them for a few hours, so that might help? Also besides from when they've just hatched, they're not really that needy compared to earlier tamagotchi (this is what I've heard, it's my first proper experience with one!). I've had really busy days where I've not looked after them well but I haven't had one die on me yet. There's a pause feature as well that they added in an update, so I think you'll be completely fine 💖

lol Dressing Spacytchi up in the mini game, he looks nice I can't wait for my Sanrio Uni to show up, I did a trade with someone(gave them my purple uni in exchange for the green pix) so I don't have one anymore but I decided to preorder the Sanrio one when I learned the English version was available on Amazon. Going to be interesting raising all the characters again(what don't involve connecting to someone's device) & trying things out, I stopped playing before the update that added the ability to turn it off so it'll be nice to see the new changes.

I came here to see what info you've got about the new connection line, I haven't been able to figure out where to buy them but I'm super excited about them and planning on ordering multiple.❤ I think they have different designs in Japan too. It feels odd and disappointing that new ones are not compatible with originals.. the technology was so simple in the older versions, I don't feel like they needed to change that. :/

Thanks for the info! I bought one when they were new and didn't know much about it. Just picked it back up. I like that it connects to WiFi so you can get DLC. Definitely sad how short lived the ONs/Meets were because I loved them so much! If they added the gene mixing to these, my life would be complete.😅 You'd think they'd see how popular those were and keep going with that feature but idk. Those things became super expensive so fast. I want the Sanrio one so much! I can at least get the ticket.😗

The main issue i have with uni is that eventually the servers will shut down and most of the content for the uni will no longer be accessible.

yes! i was only born in 2005 so i couldn’t have nostalgia for the 90’s and i got my first tamagotchi in 2015 and i’ve loved them ever since :) they’re fun to take care of and the minigames and pets are so cute

😅I have never seen them in a GameStop location only online and when the uni initially came out, I had friends complain their pre-orders from GameStop fell through and the cost is higher than American Amazon after conversion BUT if they are in a store that would be great because then you could avoid shipping and would definitely make up for the markup🤔
