You forgot 1 thing.... To disable caller-id just for one call, you should use #31# followed by the number of the recipient (no spaces)

Again, you mentioned *31# twice, for disabling caller id, and re-enabling caller ID. *31# does not disable caller ID. Lastly, you did not explicitly indicate what phone types these codes work on, iPhone or Android. Please go through your tutorial again.
