I am a public school substitute teacher. When people ask me what do I teach, I usually say it’s not so much about teaching but more like damage control and harm reduction. Parents treat school as daycare now and teachers treat school as a place to teach kindness, empathy, and zero skills. School is basically a useless waste of time now and a huge waste of taxpayer money. Being a public school teacher who “teaches“ all grades in three different school districts in California has given me a front row seat to the collapsing American society around us. It’s hopeless. I’d be surprised if the average American student today has an IQ over 90. Funding is not the issue. Society being dumber than 30+ years ago is the main problem. This is also why we have doors falling off of airplanes and bridges collapsing.

You see kids in crisis, parents in the grips of drugs and poverty, and you bust your ass finding solutions for them, calling food pantries, homeless shelters, getting gas cards or bus passes for parents with transportation issues, whatever. And then again and again you watch them not take advantage of the doors you've opened, or gobbling up resources without even a thank you, or you line up clothes and hygiene products they say they can't afford, and watch them blow their next paycheck on something completely wasteful and frivolous. Gradually your savior complex hardens into a shell of cynicism, and you take on a kind of contempt for your clients as a defense mechanism to keep your heart from shattering at the cesspool of shit the world can be.

Yes I worked in that field some and there is a strong I don’t give a fuck vibe to people who work in that area. A lot of its frustration because you learn the system rewards you for looking the other way and punishes you for trying to get involved. After a while you take the just collect a paycheck mentality.

That is 25% at most of the social workers out there. anyone at the state level turn into this because bureaucracy stops you from doing your job. Where I'm from in the northeast usually overweight frumpy sloppily dressed middle aged women who don't shave their underarms or legs, have some shitty tattoo from their hippy days ( but in the 1990s) and wear their miserable dislike for their jobs and the clientele on their sleeves yet will show up in say family court with hastily caught up file notes supporting a position from left field of complete surprise to everyone involved in a particular case. A condescending I know better than everyone what's right here based on my one hour per month home visit that was really only fifteen minutes because I came really late and left as quickly as I could. No I'm not a bitter victim just someone who worked in the legal department while in law school. And in three different counties in two states. All the same.

Some seem legit then you see the same accounts comments across videos the same sentence or 2. It's disinformation in chaos. This makes anyone think something to fit what they believe happened. While 70% may be true, those little nuggets of disinformation makes your entire credibility looked at. I believe this is the goal of nonsense like the sloped roof. We focus on this while people aren't even considering why they didn't have a narrative ready or some explanation. No spree "event" or large scale event (9/11) didn't we have a LOT of information immediately from media. No one is on the same page and seems to be flailing for a story because IMO that sh0t was never supposed to miss. A 3° turn of the head changed everything. Now the storyline changes. Not what was expected, I don't think. Now my biggest concerns are what are the 2nd,3rd and 4th order effects of the miss? Do we see another attempt? Do we see additional threats or actions to others or flip side of that, do we see actions that look like they're done by the opposite side of the isle knowing it will cause a rebound response most likely. I'm looking at 1-3 months down the road, and other things moving around. I have a gut feeling that this isn't the end of this or worse

The farm show grounds and AGR are both on my mail route (mail carrier USPS here) and I was granted access to the crime scene every single day since (obviously to a point), and I have a photo of the FBI standing on the roof from a couple days ago, more comfortable than most people do standing on level ground… It’s great.
