My college started from Aug 1. When are you going to leave? Are snakes allowed in your dorm (if you will be living in a dorm)?

Classes start next Wednesday. Still living at home for a bit, getting an apartment eventually where I can keep him. But for now he's still in my room, his food is still in the downstairs freezer, and my dad still doesn't know that he exists. I'll have had him for a year next month.

Devon Wright Are snakes allowed at your school? Don't get thrown out of school for bringing contraband. Also, I'm a little worried about the fact that you've been "comfortable" lying for so long - maybe you should talk to a counselor when you get to school?

So what ended up happening?

New Plan: A couple of days before you leave for college, show up with the snake in a tank. Claim you just bought the snake in a fit of excitement about living away from home and being able to have a snake, argue that you will be leaving in a couple of days so it'll be fine. Dad never has to know you've had this snake for a while, packing snake is not done in secrecy, and no snakes get smashed with hammers. Problem solved!
