I gotta say, your videos have given me the inspiration to head out into the amazing fishery we have in my town and do some videos! All my past attempts were to show "big" fish, but i need to say, your enthusiasm for catching whatever is great! Thank You! Keep on fishing!!

Your videography is amazing. I really enjoy how you capture the beauty of each spot you fish.

I enjoy your videos. I like your catch an release philosophy. I like doing same on release...say goodbye and thank. Small "game" fishing is interesting, challenging and fun. We sometimes used to use a simple long pole and live bait or jig. Tossed it out and retrieve...flip it back out and retrieve....need to really know how to play the fish in.

Too bad you can't mark some of those crappie with a magic marker so you know if you have caught one of them before. lol We did that once with a crawfish at the river. We took it over to an inlet and left it, and yep, it came back and was stealing worms again. So we marked him with a red magic marker I had in the car and moved him to the inlet. Sure enough, it was the same one that came back, so we just dumped the rest of the worms in where he was when we left. That was a couple of years ago. I would like to go back and see if by chance he's still there, but I doubt it, and I doubt the marker would last that long. lol Thanks for another great video. Happy fishing.

As always, awesome video. I just want to make a comment/suggestion regarding the latest titles you use. Using question phrases like "New pb?" or "new species?" like on this one i think trying to "bait" or catch some views in my opinion are not necessary. I think given the great content you always provide just being straight forward could be more appreciated. I hope this is not taken the wrong way, i just think you don't need that. Keep it up.
@BassGeek5 жыл бұрын
I can't tell for certain but I do think that was a spot. It should have had a tooth patch on the tongue but more important the mouth should NOT go past the eye. You didn't have it's mouth closed but I don't think it would have.
@618Fishing5 жыл бұрын
BassGeek once I got home I started looking up identifiers online and comparing them to the pictures/video of the ones I caught and Im thinking you’re right. I wish I had one with its dorsal fin up and mouth closed

Hey Nick, yeah it was definitely a baby laregmouth. I specifically target spots and it can be very hard to tell them apart if you haven't caught them before, but once you catch them regularly your eyes will immediately spot the differences without you even having to think about it. There are a lot more differences in their appearance than people realize. I think you'll get your first spot soon though, they have a big presence in creeks! Tight lines bro
