These mast steps are the best. I rigged the same on my mast years ago. They never failed. as they're foldable, halyards and all other running rigging are less likely to get tangled in them. And it's a great bonus to be able to go atop without worrying about an exhausting exercise. As they're made of stainless steel the only precaution is to isolated them from the aluminium mast with a plastic sheet and silicon.

Well that’s interesting, being reading about the Welsh early mediaeval life, as you do… didn’t realise the name came from that time. The Celtic origins of the Welsh word teulu (‘family’) lie in pre-history; it came into Welsh from the pre-Roman conquest Brythonic language, and had its original significance within the context of the feudal clan system.

@@johnharris2337 Wow .. My father used the word 'Tut' for oddments.. "Don't leave Tut on the shelf" it was a bit of fun he had with transfer letters on a shelving unit.. caused conversation and education.. Anyway... Years ago I looked it up and discovered it was Welsh ... Twt ... if I remember correctly. My father grew up in Stratford upon Avon.. Have you read.. The Dillen .. and the following book.. Mary After The Queen .. my family are mentioned and there's a picture of my father, sisters and brother and my grandparents on page 107... What I think you will like is they are real day to day highlights of five generations of one family, with parts written in the local dialect.

Is there any way to install a wind generator for electricity on a boat? The wind blows most of the time so it seems like it could be done.
@cordobes
@cordobes 11 ай бұрын
Of course, and plenty of boats have them. But they've lost popularity because 1) the wind does not in fact blow most of the time. 2) they're noisy as hell. Solar panels are a far superior (and hydrogenators too I guess, but they're insanely expensive)

You should look into modifying old car generator chisel to spin like Edison generators by removing the Tesla magnets from the armature magnets and allowing the field magnets to move the armature magnets and coils of copper wire. This 12 volt DC generator is a motor that generates the same amp without fuel or pollution. Wire to DC AC inverter 12 volt DC to 110.volt AC to have House current. Yes shell oil company invented the Edison generator powered electric cars using an old car generator 8000 mile per gallon car was done this way.

This doesn't make sense. When you drill a hole in something yes you've made a "weak spot", but when you then FILL IN that hole with something like a screw or rivet, it's no longer a weak spot and depending on what you stuck in that hole, it might even be harder and stronger than the original material and thus reinforce the body. I dont think i've ever heard of a mast coming down from step holes that wasn't related to them corroding out.
