shortly ordered a hydraulic jack from temu when doing engine removal on my old GoldWing. came in a few days, good quality and 25% cheaper than through the normal online channels. ordered some other stuff too, not too bad and really good prices. remember, most stuff is coming from china anyway...

Seat mounting bolts (on XJR at least) are external Torx. The really evil one is the FIVE-point internal Torx (with a security pip in the centre too) Use on the ECU multi-plug. It's all but invisible too in a deep recess so it takes a while to work out why the standard bits don't fit. They REALLY don't want us to undo that! ;-)

Thanks for that information John. Would you believe that I have an almost identical impact driver that I've had for almost 50 years, but I suspect I paid more for it way back then than you did! I've always been a bit wary of TEMU type offers but your experience has given me a bit more confidence, so I may give it a try.

Hi Phil. As I say Im happy to use TEMU for the once in a while tools, as their prices are often laughably low. And with something line an impact tool, the finesse of its design and construction won't really come into the equation when you are beating it with a lump hammer😁. And a UV torch either lights up or it doesnt👍

Hi John. Do you have any videos or tips on what to look for if no heat is coming into cockpit from the aircon system . I have checked fuse 15 and it's OK so looks like could be the auxiliary heater motor needs replacing. Any there any how to vids out there ?

No air flow or no heat? - If it's the latter the matrix may be blocked or the secondary electric pump which circulates coolant through it (This is from XJ8/ XJR experience but likely very similar)
