It's all in how this has been framed for decades. There is a deliberate use of leading language that ignores surrounding context and banks on people not knowing the history of the region amd simply framing their opinion on the issue from these news soundbytes. Even the use of the word "ceasefire" is disingenuous and leading. These arent wars between independent nation states with somewhat similar weapons and equipment or militaries. Israel is a legally recognized nation state and their military doing the fighting is an official state sponsored group. They have a full military apparatus with infantry, an air force, a navy, and lots of high tech gadgets that allow unmmaned machines to commit many of the atracks. Their enemies are proxies of proxies depending on smuggled, homemade, and/or home modified ground combat weapons. Neither Hezbollah or Hamas are official armies of any independent nation state. They have no air force or Navy. They do not have high tech gadgets. Somehow in this war, the big modern, legitmized military is attacking civilians and their infrastructure on unprecedented levels despite having the tech to commit more precise strikes. The guerilla proxies are largely unable to do any real damage anywhere outside the close up fighting in their territories, which are being invaded and occupied. And all of the history leading up to this is being ignored. We are glorifying a country founded only a couple of generations ago and built by foreign powers siezing and dividing up a land for an ethnostate that has required killing and displacing large numbers of people already living on the land for generations, who have gone on to illegally sieze more land and rely on conscription and propganda and brainwashing campaigns to mobilize their children and grandchildren to keep removing people from their homes and locking them in cages both big and small in their own homeland. Anyone who says those native people ought to have their basic human rights in their own homeland, and foreign countries should stop requiring their taxpayers to fund both the armed forces that dispossess the people of their homes as well as the 59 refugee camps with 1.4 million refugees because there is no land for them to go back to and the thief wont allow it, is painted as smeared as a terrorist or terrorist sympathizer. Israel was founded and continued to expand and thrive largley with financial and military support from the British and the US. The people and military personnel of both countries have been thanked for this by being forced to sit back and watch the project they funded cause a quagmire of ever expanding conflict by committing atrocities and taking more land than they were promised as well as invading neighboring nations, attacking and killing their allied countries' troops (bombing of the King David Hotel, the USS Liberty, and the Lavon Affair), and drawing them into further wars and conflicts (Iraq, Afganistan, the 1982 invasion of Beirut, and the current mess) under false pretenses (Afganistan and the Taliban were supposedly harboring Bin Laden and Saudi Arabia and Pakistan's much more involved roles were ignored, the fake WMD's in Iraq, and the fabrications surrounding October 7th that are still taken as fact a year after they were debunked and/or retracted). Anyone who signs up to fight for this should think twice, and Americans ought to start demanding the people of America have their national defense budget used for actual defense. Hamas isnt going anywhere. Neither is Hezbollah. Both groups exist for one reason only. The people who are from that homeland who have been murdered and abused for decades are fighting back, and they are happily accepting weapons from Russia and China to do it, because those people have a vested interest in a Western Empire proxy state not expanding its influence and taking over the Middle East.
