I did challenge tier 1 3 stars with like G11 rex and G9 everybody else. The trick is using Zeb to stun big damage dealers and using hera’s revives preemptively.

I got lucky on ct1 with rex phoenix and got 3 stars. Only sabine and rex were relic and rest were g12 but hera resisted nihilus cooldown increase and managed to put backup plan on kanan who went next and taunted so he revived after annihilate and tm trained them

I got two start on ct2 last month with relic 33335. Couldn’t repeat it this time, but I’m thinking tenacity on Hera might be a good idea. It’s important to time the foresight from Kanan right while the wave is ending

I have r7 rex and no pheonix at relic and managed to 3* up to challenge tiers. Didn't try CT1 though

i did the challenge tier 2 before (phoenix) but this week even with remods i couldnt do it, sometimes sidious just one shot r5 sabine, sometimes the game crashes and most of the time nihilus just eat hera even if i started last round with full turn meter, it only works with good rng, the best is kanan being eatean, but even with good start assassin can perma stun rex or stun chopper when he needs to taunt and get revived so after 3 hours i just quit the event

My g11 pho with weak mods made it to the first challenge tier with only rex's unique zeta. Cant wait to get them geared and add all the zetas. Such a wicked team now!

6:31 Sabine has armor shred. Wouldn't that help way more to go thru his protection or does it not work like that?

If Nooch had used armour shred every time against Nihilus when he had the chance would have killed him sooner and probably 2* it.

I pulled sabine and added rex to the line up, all at g10 and g11, was able to go up one tier by just doing that.

Switching Sabine for Zeb gets through Sidious on auto every time but I can't get past the Nihilus wave

yes Nightsisters are better. And if you don't have Captain Rex -forget Phoenix alltogether.

Does captain rex need a zeta to be able to call everyone to assist?

Nope, thats Rex's Unique "The Lost Commander" at Level 6. Hera then shares the assist with everyone else. The zeta on his unique adds more stats (incl 25 speed) which also get shared out by Hera.
