I've trained at an Executive Protection academy in LA for positions in this field. Take heed they are extremely intelligent and deadly; most know jiu jitsu but in field they use Krav Maga in force. The objective is to disengage contact of enemy and to move client to safety. You do advancing: you identify exit strategies with team before hand, go out and observe area before dissenting with client, and identify physiological patterns in human behavior i.e. hunting, antagonistic, and sycophants. One cool clue, when identifying an assassin or i.e. "hunter" is always observing in the 2nd or 3rd line of human grouping. They never expose themselves in first row, and humans naturally drop shoulders down and head down when hunting. This is how you predict hunting behavior, also before humans attack punch/slap/etc. they drop their shoulders, head, and blade their feet towards you. This is why when you see someone with a hoodie and looking down towards you, it feels predatory instinctively, you are identifying hunting behavior. The academy is called Covered 6 Academy. Grade A course, full of Ex-Special Forces

just so you know a client is someone (normally the "VIPs" manager or something) they are the ones who pay you and tell you who you will be protecting, the principal is the one who the close protection officers (CPOs) protect you also forgot to mention about the SAP team, RST and the PES... the PPO (personal protection officer) is normally the team leader of the whole operation but ive only ever worked in the SAP team (security advanced party) where you go to the venues the principal is going to go to before they arrive making sure you know all the staff and whos in charge of the security at that venue

I’ve been doing security for a years now and honestly some of the stuff is true , but usually your client attend to you as well,so you are not really paying for much . they pay for food and transportation and also for the service provided… but you can definitely weed out the security…good from great just from body language

Old video but I always figured the "Seven foot tall bodybuilder with an earpiece" archetype was more for show. For every one big aggressive guy with an earpiece you can see, there's probably six or seven more inconspicuous people you can't see.
