It depends on which fallout you're talking about. In my opinion, if you're talking about Bethesda's fallout (3, 4, and 76), then stalker is EASILY a better game. But if you're talking about Obsidian's Fallout (1,2, and New Vegas) then i think they are both equally good.

Yeah Sidorovich has Thunder 5.45 you can load it with standard rifle bullets same that go into AK. It randomally appears in his invetory

I am a MASSIVE fan of Fallout 1 and 2...however the sequels, Fallout 3 & 4, to me completely failed to capture the same atmosphere of constant danger and the feeling of isolation (Fallout New Vegas had an amazing story, but failed in this regard too) However, pretty much all 3 of the Stalker games, in my mind, are what a 3D version of Fallout should feel. To this day i remember the first time i encountered a bloodusucker; not to mention the amazing part where (most) first encounter a "controller" as you walk through the underground tunnels, and you get mind controlled for a brief instant...those parts were just as scary as the first time i ran into a Deathclaw in Fallout 1. Descending into the lab (can't remember the name precisely) also gave me huge flashbacks of descending into "the glow", which EVERYONE who has ever played Fallout 1 will remember for sure. Just an amazing serie with mainly only technical flaws.

BUSHBOY Hated how ammo wasn't weightless in STALKER. I immediately got the weightless ammo mod because it's utterly unacceptable in my mind. I am an ammo hoarder.

TheYamiks I'm happy with objects having weight. Like in Fallout and Skyrim you couldn't loot everything you wanted. However, Bethesda were smart enough to know players want as much ammo as possible because shooting stuff is fun. So they made ammo weightless. Stalker goofed by making ammo have weight.

I just went over 10 million rubles. I've found that if you stay in the same game eventually you don't need to "repair" your suit. I usually carry 1 Soul + 3 Moonlight. There was one game I played and I don't remember the name of it, but in the reactor area there is an artifact that enables you to carry extra weight. I don't see any mention of it anywhere.

umm.. default SOC is pretty good, call of pripyat does need a fix maybe, but yeah clear sky is just impossible... i tried to play it and constant crashes just pissed me off too much!

Didn't happen to me (Win7, 8.1 and now 10) all you need is patches 1.0003, 1.0004, 1.0005 and the latest 1.0006 and you're good to go. I have a box-edition from 2007 or 2008 that came with the game itself on DVD and an additional CD with first three patches, maps and instructions in pdf. The latest patch is easy to find online.

Best game series ever.. sure clear skies was a bugged up shit with the crashes but a few mods fixed it up. and made it enjoyable. forgot the exact ones i got but im sure i used the Sky Reclamation Project and Atmosfear along with the Absolute textures.. also done CS with complete twice xD ive done a lot of the first game . did it vanilla 2-3 times. with autumn aurora once. i tried to use lost alpha? or that stand alone free one and didnt get far xD the crashes were just annoying. currently doing STALKERSOUP mod with first game.. and tbh i dislike CoP the most of the 3 games but i have completed it a few times aswell. MISERY is a bitch of a mod xD if you plan to do mods i recommend taking a look at this list here on reddit. www.reddit.com/r/Games/comments/2tbtsg/for_those_of_you_interested_in_stalker_from_the/ might be a little outdated but ive always gone back to it every time i replay this series.. just so disappointed that big game development companies dont make games like this anymore seriously the world could use a lot more games like the stalker series.

i've done lost alpha and even with terible level design at times and cars that filp as soon as you turn, it's still pretty cool mod.. ill see what can i do about misery , but clear skies is one thing i will probably never touch unless i want to take a shit on it!

fair enough. i got mad with it on my first time with it. wasnt until my brother decided to download the complete mod for Clear skies that i finally fully cleared the game.. never used vehicles in stalker games with mods. i prefer to run xD get a few endurance artifacts and run like the wind but thats just my experience. nice to see more people enjoying an amazing and underated game series. keep up the good sht bro wasnt expecting a stalker vid lmfao

This isn't a game I'd call polished. The movemenet seems odd in-game. If they even just observed Half Life, and the work they've done, to match their work, they'd have been better off. THe guns feel wierd also. Come to think of it, almost everything is very 'novice-y' about it. I've played this game many years back, and even back then I was complaining. Now, I've got a far better perspective of what constitutes a good game, and now I feel even worse about it. I'll still complete it though. Nastalgia is a bitch. Even that PDA tracker is a really badly made tracker. It's so hard to zoom in and out of the damn thing. The've stupidly combined the 'drag' point with the zoom to the same key button. And so you try to drag the map across, and it zooms in. Then you try zoom out and it register the diff between the scroll back and forth commands. Fucking annoying! And badly programmed. Then, what's up with the silly deadlines on achieving missions. So if you accidentally clicked on 5 missions, you're fucked! They're all on a dealine. Fun game to a point, but quite odd to play, and very, very hacky. Reminded me of the hacky game Cthulhu- Dark corners of the earth. Also, in my opinion, half-completed. And it was also notoriously buggy.
