After doing this, my skin feels amazing and is shinier! I wonder how... (This is my second night of trying this and I'm already recommending it to friends..) although I'm thinking it could also be because of the shea butter I used as a balm.. it's pure she butter from Africa but I got it from Global village in Dubai.. the African section of course

Thank you for the great facial tutorials. What do you do in the morning in the way of cleansing, to 'take off the sleep' so to speak. Some people cleanse, others say not to. I have very oily skin so I have a hard time not doing some type of cleansing. Could you do a morning cleansing, moisturizing, treatment etc &/or pre-make-up routine please? Maybe include suggestions or alternatives for different skin types. Thanks again for the great work you do!

Hi! Excellent video. Can you skip the balm if you are not wearing make up? Or does the balm cleanse other things on your face like excess oil or environmental pollutants?
@AbigailJames1
@AbigailJames1 6 жыл бұрын
SO a balm, oil or cream always make a perfect first cleanse, yes they remove oils / solution etc not just makeup.However if your short on time just go straight for the wash

I find that if you use a good cleansing oil or balm it will take ALL of your makeup off, including your eye makeup. I mean what’s the point of a cleansing balm (when a lot are not cheap) if it won’t even remove all of your eye makeup? If that’s the case then get a better balm.

Hi Abigail. You looking stunning. I couldn't help but wonder how old you are. I know traditionally it's rude to ask a woman her age, but I think it's relevant especially with the face yoga. If I were to guess I would say probably between 35 to 37. The reason is your skin is absolutely amazing and radiant and I want to know if the face yoga is really that effective.

Im 44. I dont only use face massage, I use technology within my clinic along with low level skin peels and homecare. I find a combined approach is definitally best. face massage alone wont achieve the best results. I hope thats helpful x

I use a two step method..oil cleanser then a cream cleanser what's your thoughts?
@AbigailJames1
@AbigailJames1 6 жыл бұрын
If you have dryer skin and its not breaking you out in spots then if that works for your thats fine. I would usually suggest one of those types as a first cleanse then a wash or something a little more exfoliating as a second to brighten and smooth, your other skincare products such as serums will also be able to absorb easier too x

Did you say CLOSE the pores? I thought pores opening and closing was a myth!
@AbigailJames1
@AbigailJames1 6 жыл бұрын
haha well to be more precise the walls of pores contract, if you imagine when you hairs stand on end when you are cold. Heat will soften sebum in the pores making it easier for them to be squished out and cold firms up again. Pore size is genetic, treatments such as peels and needling can soften the appearance of x

Out of curiosity, what is the purpose of using a cloth to remove both cleansing steps? I've often heard it done with balms, but less often with liquid oil cleansers and especially foams. Does it have to do with dehydration and TEWL?
@AbigailJames1
@AbigailJames1 6 жыл бұрын
Hi Katherine Its traditionally been done with balms to help remove all trace of the products, however I love doing it with all types of cleansers, it gives a thorough removal of any product, its a very small method of removing whats on the surface, be that cleanser, dead skin cells, left over makeup etc etc. your more likely to remove properly from under the chin, neck and behind ears too. and if you go in a down and outwards direction your going a little support to the direction of the lymph rather than general rubbing over the face. I don't get to do it all the time but most of the time I do. x

Im my self a Facialist,but also I know,that the selling off Products are important!Way wood I use every day 2 Cleansers and so many different Products in one time an one skin an my face??The skin can only holde so match!It,seems,very unnatural!!!I leant Cleansing,Toning plus Moisturizing!Putting an a Makeup is an lot off work alone to know it’s all chemicals and cant be good for my skin!I have my self a lot off Allergies to cosmetics and the most off them are made in China now!
@AbigailJames1
@AbigailJames1 6 жыл бұрын
Hi Rosi, this video I purposely called it the perfect cleanse, not everyone is going to get time to use 2 cleansers every time. Im definitely not about the hard sell when it comes to skincare, Im all about working with whats best for someones skin, their desired result and budgets. Each different type of product I recommend to apply will absorb into the skin in different ways and depths, some will just be hydrating the surface to keep it looking plump, and serums can work deeper impacting on different effects within the skin for its function to be optimal. e.g. peptides for boosting collagen production , retinol to boost cell turnover, hylauronic acid to hydrate, all very different effects. Some people want results, some people really want natural, its a very individual personal choice. Yes there are chemicals involved in all skincare be that natural or synthetic, they are all chemical compounds. its about making the choice thats right for you and your customers. look for the key skin irritants and select brands and products that work within your ethos. hope thats helpful lxx

Hi again Rosi, thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. I will share some of mine which i hope you will find supportive. I have been a single mother of 3 children for over 10 years, I work full time (More than full time!) I spent over 5 years on benefits unable to pay my rent and feed the children. I know the real world, I have been in some very dark personal places, especially as a hard working single parent who has suffered depression, we all have our personal lives we are living, we make personal choices as to how we spend our time. To me self-care through these types of things were part of my lifesaver from times of depression, I studies beauty therapy at night school while my children were still in nappies, this became part of my love and passion. 3 minutes to myself to take a moment for me. My first job is being a mother, that will never change but I am also a woman, who has learnt to love herself and care for herself through the little moments that I personally enjoy and love to share. A face mask while your in the shower, or making the breakfast, massaging your face while watching TV, 5 minutes to do a perfect cleanse (while the kids are eating their breakfast or Ive tucked them up in bed and Im ready to flop myself) These simple, small acts of selfcare can make us feel positive towards ourselves, if we feel good we look happier, if we look good we feel happier. There is no shame in taking a moment for ourselves, amongst our crazy busy lives. Sending lots of happy good vibes xx
