Or the mid who shoo's you away because it's _their_ lane... even when you're just looking to help gank returning from recall or placing trinkets. Players can be crazy territorial.

You know, I'm very grateful for this, while this is commonsense to some, it is not for me. I always struggled on maximizing my time on the map, and I have trouble deciding when to roam. I cannot count the times when my adc backs and I think I'm forced to back with them (even if I don't"t have enough gold to buy anything) because what can a support do all alone. I do have a question though. What do I do when my ADC decides to back at the same time the enemy laners get back into lane and start pushing in? I find myself in these situations a lot and I end up just chilling at my tower twiddling my thumbs because I don't know what to do. I know this is probably a stupid question, and you probably cannot fathom the thought process of someone so low on the charts it barely constitutes as iron, but I would appreciate an informative answer. ;u;

i usaully tries to just stall the minions so the enemy gets so little push as possible, but you need to be carefull so you dont overextend. Thats what i do atleast dont know if thats the best but yea.

Alternative here: ask the ADC to stay (ping him for instance). You might find yourself in the situation where the ADC actually stays and pushes the enemy back. You reset the lane and if you are lucky, the enemy duo will not try anything so you will get the freedom to check the upper bush or spend some time in the river if the jungler shows himself. As a support you can call for action or set the path of the lane. You are the one who's suppose to carry the ADC so that he will carry the team afterwards. Never forget that.

No, because it'll expire before scuttle spawns. I thought about it too and did the math. But if you think the jugnler will gank the midlaner or you on lvl 2-3 you can ward it freely.

as a gold support i already knew all these and do these things already. honestly if ur adc just wanna farm all day and play passive all day you cant do a whole lot in lane phase often time if ur out of sync ud end up taking the extra harass because ur adc wont back u up for any pressure or even bother to clean up as janitor. and outside of lane phase if ur team rather play mid aram all day or chase into jungle all day and dont control the map. theres very little u can do as tank support or enchantress.

Know what adc staing with you, someone have bad start, someone have good start, sometimes you can rush and kill and sometimes allyour job is to give adc farm, so he can win by gold and start killing. KNOW THE CHAMPION YOU STAY WITH. You can't just take Alistar and expect that Senna will kill everyone. NO, Jin can, Jinx can, not Senna or Kait. Or if you can play Yumi, and you see adc is main Jinx, Take it, try it, Jinx need that damage buf and control you give, ask her to beleave in you even if you see whole team hate you. JUST KNOW WHAT CHAMPION SYNERGY IS GOOD AND WHAT ADC|APC|ANY OTHER CAN ATTACK AND KILL AT THE MOMENT YOU PLAING NOW! KNOW YOUR LIMITS! DON'T EXPECT ADC WILL KILL ANYTHING JUST BECAUSE HE/SHE IS ADC.

Its because she is a healchampion and is better for her as a heal support to have heal so the adc can go either safe with barrier or aggressive with ignite

It is pretty common actually. You either take ignite for all in / pressure or heal in case of your ADC chooses tp or barrier.
