It's difficult to spend much time in Annesburg. The town is a polluted hellhole at the end of the map, near Murfree country, no saloon or fun activities and the story is in it's darkest hours.

Even in rdo it’s the one town I visit the least.It’s all the way up on the map in its little corner not much to do there. Town build on just labour it really is a hell hole of a town.

The Princess IKZ "secret" always drove me nuts, I figured when RDR2 was released to PC we'd all finally know where to find her but then it turned out she'd been removed and I spent all that time searching for nothing.

Well, it's not really known if it was removed or not, the files are there but it's not clear if it's deleted content or if a very specific trigger is needed to activate the mission.

Actually I just wrote an e-mail to the Rockstar Customer Support to ask them again for IKZ and they just told me that she was deleted at the time RDR2 was released. First they made a joke about her that maybe she has gone with Gavin, but then they told me that she was cut off. -,- At least they are still spending time on GTA Online instead of workin on a beautiful DLC for the best game they ever made. 😓😓 I love GTA, no question ....but Take Two ....that´s another thing.

I have a dark theory about Annesburg that no KZbinr seems to talk about despite it being quite obvious. The town, or at least, a significant portion of it, is in imminent danger of being destroyed by a massive land slide. If one should venture the immediate elevated regions above the town, one would immediately notice the treeless portion of a very steep region of the ridge. It may seem like nothing to an untrained eye but it doesnt take one to be an expert geologist to see how the widespread clearing of trees on that very steep part of the ridge clearly spells a future disaster to the mining town.

Annesburg and most of Roanoke Ridge are just really unpleasant to be around, very depressing compared to somewhere like the Heartlands or Big Valley. I've also seen somewhere mention that the Germans you rescue in the beginning of Chapter 3 who give Arthur a gold bar, have ties to the Annesburg mines.

The same thing happens with the poisoned fish in Saint Denis if you try to fish in any of the water around there. I once tried to fish in the same pond you interact with Marko Dragic and pulled out a fish with black patches all over him; Arthur grunted in disgust before saying “you don’t look right”

I remember stumbling on a couple arguing near some of the company housing (I think the husband might have been the one bullying the Downs boy) and the two of them were fighting over how dangerous it was working in the mine, but the husband counters that there really wasnt any other option for him. Sort of a damned if you do, damned if you dont kind of situation. Sadly all too typical for those living in company towns of the time.

During my last playthrough of RDR2, I tried to explore in full all of the towns (unsurprisingly, I spent the longest amount of time in Saint Denis). But it was only in my last playthrough that I discovered the Bennett wanted poster. But when I collected it, I thought the game had glitched because of it not unlocking a bounty hunter quest, which I thought that it would. Only later down the line did I realise it is part of the Bennett Brother’s treasure story.

My Grandmother on my fathers side is a MacIntosh and my father passed his kilt onto me which is MacIntosh tartan, exactly the same tartan as Dr MacIntosh wears under his white coat a MacIntosh tartan waste coat and it’s exactly correct in design. On the way to Rhodes from Valentine or vice versa, you will see a plume of smoke indicating where the Lemoyne Raiders are camped. Go close to the camp until the red arc for 'enemy' appears on your screen. When the leader says 'Turn on your heels son' drop a marker and ride away until the enemy red arc light goes from the screen. Now ride back and the gang will totally ignore you and your horse. Steal the supplies then do what you want with the gang. If you kill one nobody takes any notice, so either ride off or kill the other four. Sometimes another two will ride up on horses and you can easily kill them for a bit more loot.

The missing princess has always nagged at me. Knowing you can find her trunk but never the girl herself just gives me chills. Who kidnaps a princess, or a girl of any age or class, just to not ransom her back? Why keep her? Why keep her alive, if she survived being taken and spirited away into the New World? Why bring her to a completely different continent at all? The fact so much about this more or less unplayable mission has been removed/never added to the game should really compel not just Strangeman but us too. No one should go missing like that, leaving the family with no answers. Whether they're from a video game or not. Someone got away with kidnapping a LITTLE GIRL, if you put aside her title as princess. At both late and post-game points, she's been missing FOR YEARS. The game might be set in an era long before the telephone or even the internet but Princess IKZ really should've been found at least six weeks to six months after she was taken. Rockstar definitely isn't going to give us any answers (if they have any) but it never hurts to keep asking questions.

Haven't watched yet, but just in case. I have found a mutilated horse behind the stable here, dog eating it ,massive claw marks massive. Get into town, disembowelled doggo in front of post office on main town road, same deal. Birds and doggo eating it, massive claw marks. All the while and before, that deep af growl that can supposedly only be heard at the glacier was going. I ran to the man bear pig house just as day was breaking, before that as i was running across the road to house the score went silent then was as if all piano keys were hit at once. Recorded and am going to post raw once i get back home. Have you seen this? Also that roar i heard near elysian lake (empty house lot w chimney) and along the kamacha i think river north from elysian.
