I actually did theorize that Flameheart was the son of the Pirate Lord in the Legends Den. Flameheart, as we know, is quite vengeful and over time has gained a variety of curses. But, if he were the greedy son it would make some sense. His father had a large treasure hoard (or had one). His son wouldn’t have heard about what he spent it on and would think his fathers riches were still up for grabs. This would lead him to the Sea of Thieves. There he would be cursed and would blame his father for ever even “tempting” him to go there. After catching wind of his father’s spirit still being around and more so living pirates now getting maps to what he deems his inheritance (athena voyages) he would have a new target.

OMG every time I go to that rock formation i always think it looks important and in my opinion looks like a giant super weapon which I guess it is because it will trap pirates in the sea of thieves but that wasn’t what I thought originally before the panel.

I have an idea for a skeleton faction in sea of thieves. The Dead Federation, who are a small group of skeletons who had a run in with a very odd variation on the typical skeleton curse. They lost their bodies, but retained their minds. They could be found at Kraken's Fall, behind a hidden door painted with a skeleton rune, which would translate to "home". They would have representatives of their company in each port, but they would be far away from the rest of the shops and such. They would grant their curse to you instead of an emissary costume, and it would simply give you a generic skeleton character model. The Dead Federation is separate from the other skeleton groups, having rejected any affiliation with Flameheart, Graymarrow, and other vicious groups. They wish only to be accepted by the other trade companies and the townsfolk. They trade skeletal goods and would offer a wide variety of voyages meant for building their numbers, as well as providing spare bones to fix themselves in case of loss of limb, and they don't have any pegs or hooks to spare. They are surprisingly friendly and helpful, but are very cautious with who they trust. They would also offer a variety of skeleton enemy themed cosmetics, such as the rags that the slightly tougher skeletons have, or the plants from plant skeletons, all of which only appear on your skeletal cursed self. They would also offer a special sword and lantern for their upgradeable items. The update could also introduce a pet bat to the game. The skellies there would not be hostile to anyone, but they would defend themselves if attacked. It wouldn't effect your standing with the Federation, but would still be rude.

The trio in the band are actually Diving Bel, Nine Cat Nura and Half-a-Stew Jean from the lore book. They were part of the crew of the Mermaids Demise. They discovered Flameheart's journal. And Flameheart is not related to the Pirate Lord. He mentions stories his father told him of the pirate lord. That aside, great video!

The ferry of the damned is emblazoned with unicorn imagery and that's the theme of the pirate legend items. It makes one think that maybe the ferry itself is the ghost of the Athena's Fortune and that the Pirate Lord could be the Ferryman in the real world?
