Just wanna say that while I like your setup what I really like is the way you approached this video. Lots of creators who make this video give a lot of detail into the gear and the specs, which is great. But I really like the way you talked about aspects of the work in the space and the various angles you shot for the video. Really well done and the 13 minutes utterly flew by. Thanks!

Setting up becoming a chore is the number 1 tip I'd give to any youtuber or content creator! Making a fixed setup is so vital for keeping the flow going! It's really what makes people stop creating because even after setting the hardware up comes the software and adjusting light values and other stuff not to mention storing stuff and specially cables can break them sometimes!

@@VicBarry The autopole idea seems like a great option for renters who can’t screw things into the wall! I’ve seen something like the Ulanzi gear tree which always felt rather cluttered, and just the kind of thing I’d whack my toe off in the morning. I could see the autopole holding my ZV1, and friction arms for a small light and mic, if it would hold that much weight.
@VicBarry
@VicBarry Жыл бұрын
Cheers for the reply Philip. I’ve hung my Sony fx3 or zve10 off it (all with mics attached) and zero problems. I can’t see you’d have an issue with the gear but double and treble check weights and how tight everything is attached 😂

Great setup Vic! I converted my garage into a room and it’s not too dissimilar to the size of your space. Always looking at upgrading which seems like a never ending journey. Appreciate the ideas for keeping things off the ground. I’m totally the person with 3-4 stands and I refuse to put them away so I’m falling all over the place or weaving past them 😅 Keep up the great work 💚🇮🇪👍🏻

Or some things you tried and learned from it. Or some other space saving tips. Or tips for faster filming and lighting. Even storytelling. Or just take a bit more time and talk how you saved space in the office. What ideas you think could work. Maybe about "portable" workbench for small diy projects. In one word: More! :D

Sorry but autopoles are garbage! Mine doesn’t get tight enough to keep it from spinning when you clamp a magic arm & super clamp! Plus it slides down the wall after a few days! Worst investment I ever made!

Hey there. Which one are you using? I’ve the one in the video (Manfrotto) and it hasn’t budged since the day it was put up nor has it twisted. What are you attaching to it
@rogalaphotography
@rogalaphotography 11 ай бұрын
@@VicBarry I am using the silver Manfrotto Autopole. It’s doesn’t get tight enough against the wall so it spins that way. Plus the ends of the pole are inserts that are not locked down. They spin as well. I had to drill a screw into the side so the inserts wouldn’t spin.
