Dear Hak SO Ken practitioners, as a Christian, I am glad to see your devotion to the Christian religion while maintaining the very essence of figthin from the Shaolin Temple. May God Bless you and your families. Let us hope inGod. Paul,69, retired instructor from Europe.

Thank you! I'm thrilled to hear that two of your favorite topics are the Bible and Kung Fu. They both teach us valuable lessons about strength, discipline, and inner peace. As it says in Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." And Proverbs 24:5 reminds us that "A wise man is full of strength, and a man of knowledge enhances his might." May your journey be blessed with both spiritual and physical growth. Keep the faith and the practice strong! 🙏🥋 Sage

Hi Master! I don't know what it is about your videos, but they are very eye-catching. Maybe they preserve the beauty of the origins of the Chinese martial art that fascinates us. They are simple and direct, it's like they are out of time. Please continue to share your knowledge with us. I have been practicing kung fu for almost 40 years and I am very surprised by your work. Congratulations.

Thank you so much for your kind words! It's wonderful to connect with a fellow Catholic and martial arts enthusiast. I'm originally from a small island called Amamioshima, now located in Japan. However, I consider myself the king of the Republic of Portonia, which will celebrate its establishment ceremony on 8 October 2024. The message of Jesus Christ may come in many forms, and we've seen disciples' traumatic scars in their hearts being healed in so many miraculous ways. May God also bless you, and I hope you find many commonalities between the spiritual fight and your martial arts journey. 阿門! 🙏 Keep kicking and praying! 🥋✨

Haha! You're right, Mike. I know it looks like a wrong combination but as a Christian, who is a big fan of kung fu movies, it just came down naturally. But it doesn't sound that ugly, right? Jesus' words may come out of a street preacher, movie, literature, or any other forms of art and science, resonating in the subconsciousness of human species. But doesn't it make sense, Mike, when we think that praying the Lord's prayer is literally the Generals Mandate (a recommendation, maybe) for us Christians? On top of that, they got something in common: both of them are quite powerful.

@@MikeS24-v4s Hey Mike again! This is Sage the kung fu instructor in this video. I've got the Footwork inspired by 24 style tai chi while I got my knees damaged when I used to be a kickboxer.

This is a genuine Japanese martial art that has nothing to do with the inferior Shaolin Sho. The name of this school should be 被爆流.
@exelatete
@exelatete 2 ай бұрын
Haha 被爆流... I would love that 💖 Thank you for naming us such a beautiful and compassionate name... But during the time of war world two, my homeland Amamioshima, back then called Northern Ryukyu, used to be a part of the United States. I feel kind of guilty with that name. Considering this, can you come up with a better name? I bet you can. By the way, what made you think that our martial art is superior to Chinese Shaolin style? I am genuinely curious about your opinion, Nastasja.

@@exelatete Why is 被爆流 superior than Shaolin Sho? Unlike the latter (and its derived arts such as 唐手術), 被爆流 teaches that feet should be in continuous motion even when applying a block or strike, in directional changes of Bai Bu 擺步 (swinging) and Kou Bu 扣步 (hooking) footwork, not to mention. Can I inquire about your lineage? I guess the name 狛猙 that you used for the school is just a cover, essentially, it is the name of the last 宗家 of the school in question, 被爆流.

@@nastasjanagy6996 Hi @user-nk5vu3bk3i, Thanks so much for your thoughtful and kind comment! 😊🙏 I’m thrilled to hear that you find the continuous footwork and techniques of Hak-So-Ken interesting. I developed the 擺步 (Bai Bu) of Hak-So-Ken by combining inspirations from western boxing, Kyokushin Karate, and the 24-style Tai Chi. So, my style doesn’t have a traditional lineage or origin in the usual sense. As for the 扣步 (Kou Bu), it was inspired by the Jackie Chan movie "Young Master" 🎬🥋. I initially thought I was creating something new, but it’s great to know it resonates with traditional elements! I’m genuinely honored by your comment. It makes me feel like I’m doing something meaningful and aesthetically pleasing. 🌟👊

Thank you so much for your keen observation and thoughtful analysis of my martial arts! 🌟😊 You're absolutely right-Jackie Chan is more of a stuntman than a traditional martial artist, and Jimi Hendrix is, of course, a legendary guitarist with no ties to combat. 🎸🥋 But both have inspired me, especially in the creativity and improvisation of movement. 🎶✨ I truly appreciate how you’ve picked up on the deeper process behind my martial art’s creation. After many years of real combat experience, I developed this style with a focus on handling multiple opponents at once-a mindset that, I admit, isn’t entirely in line with Christian values. 😅 However, I now strive to use this art for physical health and spiritual growth. 🌱💪 By the way, I tried googling 被曝流 (Hibaku-ryu) but couldn’t find any information. 🕵‍♂ I’m really curious about how closely this school might be related to my martial arts. If you have any info or links about 被曝流, I’d be super grateful if you could share them with me! 🔗📚 May the Lord bless you, and have an amazing day, brother! 🙏🌟

Hi Nastasja, Thank you so much for your insightful comments and for admiring the practical aspects of Hak-So-Ken’s steps! 🌟 I truly appreciate your detailed observations about the footwork and techniques. It’s wonderful to hear that you find them effective and relevant. As a Roman Catholic, I do strive to align my practice with values of peace and compassion. While martial arts can indeed have practical applications, my focus is on using them for personal growth and physical well-being rather than conflict. Your recognition of the art’s practical elements is a great compliment, and it’s rewarding to know that the techniques resonate in such a meaningful way. If you have any more thoughts or insights, I’d love to hear them. Wishing you all the best and may your journey be filled with peace and joy! Best regards, Sage
