Do you recall the SS John Brown that was docked at around 25th Street? It served as a school ship for the Metropolitan Vocational High School. I remember it from the 60's when my older brother was a student. Cheers.

Thank you! A quick question: Isn't Chelsea market located in Chelsea?
@UrbanistExploringCities5 жыл бұрын
yes and no. Technically Meatpacking District is in Chelsea, making its own "micro-neighborhood" Neighborhoods are always in flux in NYC, and nowadays many people will consider Chelsea market to be within the Meatpacking District, as I do in this video. And its reasonable to do so, since this building was one of the factories in use during the meatpacking days.

These neighbourhood are not official names and boundaries are not clear cut. I still don’t know whether i live in the West Village or Greenwich 🤷🏻♂️

@@UrbanistExploringCities But above 14th is considered Chelsea. I feel like that's the best way to explain it. Chelsea Market is on 15th and right on the cusp.

great video! thanks for all the information. the only downside was watching you eat a dry oreo without milk, waiting for you to say your next sentence, and feeling your pain.
