That's actually one of the least surprising things to me: horses and horseriding have for long been respected in arabian cultures as a noble thing to do. Much like back in the day among European nobility you weren't really a proper man if you didn't at least know how to ride a horse, and those with some wealth had to own at least one. Horses and knowing stuff about them and riding them (preferably with a moustache and a beard) is OG bro-culture, much in the same vein as cars are to many these days. Like guys would have strong opinions on what kinda horse is best for a given task, how you should train them etc. Hell, it's a massive part of the whole cowboy subculture to this day, and given how Osama was a fan of westerns and apaprently rocked a black cowboy hat while hiding from drones as well as coming from a culture that tradtionally venerates horses, it makes total sense to me that he'd be a horse girl because tradtionally it's not been seen as a girly thing to do, quite the contray: a cornerstone of traditional masculity. Kipling wrote a poem set in Aghanistan back in 1892 and it contains, among other thing, a part about dudes taking rips from a bong and horse girling around like Proper Real Manly men did back in the day: "We cleansed our beards of the mutton-grease, We lay on the mats and were filled with peace, And the talk slid north, and the talk slid south, With the sliding puffs from the hookah-mouth. If that's true, it does make sense since Islam, Judaism, and Christianity are all judeo christian religions and worship the same God. It would make sense the extreme sides of the religions would be pretty similar if that's the case.

Robert is a man of high adventure who has seen real war, but the bit where he had Bible Black explained to him is adorably innocent. Oh you sweet summer child. That said 80s-90s Japanese sex games were actually quite complex and good. The PC engine alone had a massive library of erotic visual novels that had proper characters and plot and stuff, with classy sex scenes. Most of it never left Japan, but its a fascinating dive into a subculture that because of its nature was both very well preserved, but also really secretive.

The image on the "terrorist nuke" card is not bizarre inexplicable 9/11 wasn't the first attack on the World Trade Center. In fact, there was a bombing to the basement (perhaps with the aim of knocking over the building) in 1993. So it actually makes sense that this well known current event might be folded into the imagery for the game, as there was lots of discussion about beefing up security just in case another attack occurs. It stands to reason that increasing the yield of the explosion would be an imagined response by terrorists - as depicted in the "Terrorist Nuke" card.

I'm kinda curious if he saw this card in 1995-2001 and decided to emulate it? Or if it really is just another coincidence, like the comic released on September 12th where Lexcorp towers were bombed and from that particular angle, didn't look like two comically L-shaped buildings, but the WTC.

I looked up Heroes of Tomorrow, it is a straight to DVD 2008 Marvel cartoon about the Avengers and it has a child character on the cover like a sidekick, I think that was a mess up, like he asked for regular Avengers movie and got the cartoon instead like classic limewire

I played the original Illuminati game back in the 80s and it is good. Worth checking out if you're a gamer. Read the Illuminatus trilogy twice. Didn't understand half of the references the first time when I was a teenager. Understood more, but not all ten years later. They were written in the early 70s so they are filled with 60s and 70s references and notes. Still love the line: "It's Otto Waterhouse Jr.! Famous cop killer and killer cop!"

My Mexican immigrant mom used to clean house for a living and one of the home owners would give her old magazines. She brought home a reader's digest once in 1998 and dropped it in my lap and told me to read the article on the cover to her. It was a picture of Bin Laden and it said "Have we created a monster?".
