Thanks for the Marble Hill tidbit. I always thought Inwood was the northernmost section of Manhattan. I've been wrong for a long time...

There are remnants of the 9th Ave El next to Yankee Stadium. Part of the platform for Jerome-Anderson Ave Station is across the street from Gate 2, it’s on top of an embankment above an Auto Body Shop. The connection to the 4 Line is visible next to the Bleacher Gate

The MTA should reuse trolleys for heavy traveled places in NYC

it will be abandoned next 100 yrs or so and sealed too much to maintain and they are gonna flood next huricanes over next years

I feel like if anything, a better solution with this whole trolley thingy would be to have them serve places that the Subway doesn’t reach (Ex; College Point, Bayside, etc.) and have them run to subway stations for connections. Also, like how Main Street in Flushing is a busway, we’re gonna have trolley-ways.

When the city took over the former NYWB, the Dyre Avenue station still had two side platforms. However, only the former northbound platform was used for service, with a single track. After a wind storm in the early 1960s demolished the old station, the station was rebuilt into its current configuration.

And, for a few years of operation under the NYCTA, the catenary towers remained in place - left over from when the railway's fate was left in limbo IIRC.

Did you ever mention the slight crack in the wall just sound of a the 7th avenue station for the b. & q line on the Brooklyn bound side. You can see the 2 and 3 trains.

A lot of infrastructure I see in the New York City Subway could've been repurposed, and run by MTA, and it would've literally made the system BILLIONS! I know how too!

The K-Mart at Astor Place was not the last one in NYC. It closed in July of 2021, but the one at Bay Blaza in the Bronx lasted until November of that year, four months longer.

That “mezzanine” that you referred to at 14 St-8 Av, that was actually a pathway that connected to the 7 Av line, similar to the pathway connection of said station to 6 Av.

I watched a video of a full ride from Flatbush Avenue to Wakefield 241st Street and I noticed a few more structures at 96th Street …. A few more open spaces that isn’t the abandoned station . I’m not sure if this was mentioned in part 4 anyways but if you can look into that it would be nice.

Never underestimate MTA's capacity to waste taxpayers money. They have been doing this for decades and the sheeple have accepted this.

I won't be surprised if in the near future, Marble Hill becomes part of the Bronx. Side note: There are proposals that I have seen that involve a University Heights Line for the (5). It splits from Yankees Stadium and heads down under the section of the former Polo Grounds shuttle and west, then north to University Heights, then Marble Hill is the last stop. Would be very weird for announcements, since Marble Hill is part of Manhattan, unless if it is designated as part of the Bronx for the (5).

As someone who is interested in this topic, I find the video very hard to follow without constant pausing. Every time you say "look" the video moves onto the next area WAY too fast. It would also help if you talked slower. Yeah, the video might be drawn out to near 20 minutes, but that's 'ok. The people who are really watching will love it.

Interesting video, thanks for making it. Suggestion: speak a little more slowly, it can be a bit hard to follow what you are saying at times. Sometimes your ennunciation could be a little better, too. Give your narration the attention you're giving your choice of content and editing of visuals.
