Though Gold is OLD it still gives us joy! Wars are fought, Kings and Queens come to power and fall, Onto the table. With a slap the Jack takes them all! 😉 Don't know if you noticed but at a distance the angels on the back of the cards seem to also be skulls. Maybe I have too much imagination but that's something that caught my eye. Also, I keep having to come back and reclick the notification 🔔 as I am not getting updates on you videos. Anywho, great vid! Love the limerick/riddle treasure hunt! 👍 I had to make one too! It's fun to come up with them and hide a riddle within! Great video again!

4:31 Though I'll be the first to admit the TWPCC's printing facility in mainland China is generally terrible, the Taiwan facility couldn't be more different. Decks printed in Taiwan are much higher quality than USPCC, while the PRC facility is much lower in quality than USPCC. Taiwan and Belgian decks are the highest quality decks in the world. At BEST, USPCC is in a distant third place.

As TGW pointed out, the details on the back with MetalLuxe just causes a lot of inconsistency in the design and messes with some of the beautiful detail. Don't get me wrong, I love MetalLuxe and the overall look of this deck. The main design is actually older, so I can't put it up with the other decks TGW listed earlier. It is still a great deck that I am glad I have in my collection.
@joezhang30056 жыл бұрын
@@bradbailey3235 It's still one of my favorite back design so I am just really glad it comes in gold now. I actually didn't notice the imperfect MetalLuxe printing before watching this review, maybe the one I got is a good copy or I am just careless. As far as I know, USPCC never prints perfect card back, there is always some inconsistency with the white border. Some of the custom decks I own have a few cards with some really uneven border that makes the design looks crooked, so I am just getting used to ignore those little details and enjoy the overall design. But I can see how it could bother some people and I am glad Gentlemanwake pointed it out.

I've been collecting 6 months and just got my first 5 Blaine decks 2 days ago. I was skeptical before ever buying, because to me, its obvious that all of Cartamundi's stock is superior to every stock from USPCC except maybe USPCC's double crushed premium, but even the double crushed from USPCC isn't as elegant as B9, C9, or E7 from Cardi. I wondered why Blaine insisted on not using the highest quality materials available (Ravn also recently switched from Cardi to USPCC in her 4th edition and I will not be buying it for that reason.) Anyway, once I got my first Blaine decks, my suspicions were confirmed. I HATE Blaine decks, and not just because its USPCC. The marking system on the Lions decks is the hardest to read marking system I have ever experienced and I have a LOT of marked decks. Even after 2 days I still cannot use the marking system despite knowing exactly where to look and what to look for. Its simply not visible enough. Ive never had trouble reading a marking system until Blaine's decks. I'm not sure what happened with the Stoics that you got, but NORMALLY EPCC and LPCC have quality equal or superior to USPCC. Take Jaspas decks, for example. The latest eggplant edition's stock and finish is superior to 90% of what I get from USPCC. Think of Aquila and Sharps Reserve... EPCC and LPCC aren't known for low quality. In my opinion, the quality hierarchy is thus: Cardi C9 > Cardi E7 > Cardi B9 > EPCC/LPCC Taiwan> double crushed premium UCPCC > every other stock from USPCC > EPCC China.

David Blaine apparently felt the SCOLD of those past decks and chose to come back with something bold. The Blaine courts and the bicycle standard cards are getting a little old in my opinion although I understand that it is supposed to be magician friendly and Bicycle is the most recognized.

Thanks as usual for the added detail within your reviews. Was hoping that this deck had a double backer, more of a letdown as Blaine continues to push away those who’ve religiously supported his deck production career. Maybe he should give Cartamundi a try. As I wasn’t onboard originally with their 310’s, I’ve come to know and love them more and more especially with their thinner stocks and almost near perfect printing on their higher end customers like the Marked Butterfly Decks. There’s nothing worse than spending tons of money on cards or those that hype them spiking online prices, like the Mint Line for example, then when receiving a few shitty decks being told, “Hey, it happens.” It’s all part of the process and within their specifications. Bullshit, Ya know what, we’re the customers right? It’s one thing if I can notice off centered borders due to an unacceptable punching job, it’s another if a spectator totally calls you out on it. Live and learn right, next time I won’t support their damn Kickstarter. Anywho, as far as EPCC, I myself have a few decks in my collection that could pass for USPCC, from look to feel, and it’s sad that they can’t keep up that consistency because not all of us are crying for another Stoics Deck as far as handling and all the other negatives go. Was hoping that Blaine would at least make a 180 back to his roots and throw the magicians a few extra bones, like the double backer or blank as there are just so many things we can do with three jokers or more than one ad card. I guess he just likes seeing his name and artwork on shit. Was going to get one of these on my next Blaine order as I need some more Series B decks and the savings from not wasting my money on these can go towards a deck of his up priced White Lions. Love how they go up from 12 to 20 but I guess it’s better then all those scabs on eBay trying to get $40+ a deck. Hope you’re having a great Labor Day.
@StockAndFinish Жыл бұрын
That "could pass for USPCC?" USPCC has horrible quality control! TWPCC and Cartamundi both make better quality decks than USPCC (except the minority of TWPCC decks printed in mainland China. The Taiwan decks are all vastly superior. I'll have a video coming out by July 2023 that outlines almost a dozen objective metrics in which USPCC fails to match Cartamundi and Taiwan-made TWPCC deck standards.)
