Dude, your tie dyes are A+ superb, and I learned more from watching your tutorials than I got from any other videos or instructions. I would love to see you do a long sleeve tee with a mirror dye pattern. Waiting for my dye to arrive................

These videos are awesome! Over the summer we had a tie dye party for the neighborhood and I had watched so many of your tutorials. We incorporated a lot of your tips and tricks into it and the items turned out awesome. Thank you!

I finally tried this and it turned out amazing! you really have to master folding a soda ash shirt in half. My very first 'V' is a gift to a friend in their favorite sports teams colors. I love this! I need to try it with ice dye.

I got so many question! I'll just give my top 3. For The V is it best to use a v-neck, crew neck, or regular? What colors did you use for the green tie dye ? And does it matter if you use full cotton shirts or any verity?

Crispy I love your tie dyed! I have a ? Can I put a V on the front and an emblem or something else on the back?
@CrispyGuy Жыл бұрын
Most totally. Just turn the shirt inside out, lay it flat so that the front and back faces are each folded down the center, then you can do different designs on each side.

Hey man, trying to start tie dyeing and I just have a few questions. First, where do you buy your dye because for the most part I can only find kits for younger children? Second, in one of your videos you said how after you dye the shirt you do a "rinse", I'm guessing you mean literally just rinse it with water but I'm just wondering, I don't want a washer and drier covered in dye. My last question is why you soak the shirt in soda ash and how much you use to soak the shirt? thank you for the helpful videos hope you can get back to me.
@CrispyGuy8 жыл бұрын
Most of us get our dyes from Dharma Trading Co, there's tutorials on their site as well on how to use soda ash etc. Rinsing is indeed with water, then you wash the shirts in a small amount of synthrapol (dyer's soap).

Quick question: do you pre-soak in baking soda and then wash after? Or wash first and then soak in baking soda? Many thanks! Great videos :)
@CrispyGuy8 жыл бұрын
Neither actually. I soak the shirts in a solution of 1 Cup Soda Ash (Sodium Carbonate-- different from Baking Soda), per gallon of water. Then I put it through the spin cycle (not rinse) and it's ready to dye. Rinsing and washing comes 24 hours after the dye.

is this shirt folded how you do the psychedelic mindscape?

Sure is, it needs to be folded that way to get proper reflections on both sides.
