I heard from dear friends in South Africa last week that John Tovey has sadly died. I'm sad to say that despite being such a well known and well regarded chef and restrauteur in the U.K. in the 1970s and 1980s that there is no mention of this at all to be found in the U.K. press. MAY he restin peace.

Cream is often swirled into soups in classic French cooking. And it isn't 'squirty' cream, it's real cream in a piping bag.
