Dr. Lori, I love you and the gift you are sharing... your knowledge. On a totally different subject... I have hair just like yours, thick and frizzy. I just discovered, at age 58, I actually have curly hair. Curly hair frizzes when it is brushed out. After watching a few KZbin videos, I learned when you have hair like ours, first we need to use sulfate, silicone and alcohol free shampoo and conditioner. The trick to bringing out natural curl is applying a curling foam after you have washed and combed your wet hair, then scrunch it and let it dry naturally. I was amazed to discover this. The next day, all you do is wet your hair, comb through a small amount of curling foam, scrunch and let dry. Our hair does better if we don't wash it every day. You can use a hair dryer diffuser if you don't want a wet head. I can't wait to see your natural curls.

I started watching Dr. Lori recently in the last 2 weeks? I believe she is a wealth of knowledge and I would so trust her with all my collections I’ve been collecting over the past 30 years and some I’ve acquired over a 6 to 9 month and I need to have a private 30 min video with Dr. Lori. The private video now how do I go through that; like how do I pay for it how much do I need to pay for it I certainly believe it will be worth the time I’ve literally got a lot that I would like to downsize we moved from a 2 story house to a two bedroom duplex and I just don’t have the room and I don’t want to get a storage unit a lady whom knew I had valuables in our storage unit had it opened and had a couple going through all my boxes 😭 and thank god I went out to pay my storage unit and stopped them she said “oh they were only restaking your boxes but I told her 8 of my boxes were opened and she lied and said oh the glue must had come undone they stole 30 of my collections and she quit and moved out of town it was her daughter and son in law 😭😭

Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. Funny you mentioned be honest and being up front with your customers. I bought a “junk bag” of jewelry, it was sell day at this thrift shop so I paid $2.50 for the whole bag. Their was a 10k yellow gold pendant with two diamonds, and a yellow gold 7 stones dark pink sapphire ring the shank broke. I took both items and ask our local jeweler about repair to the ring and value of both pieces. She wanted to buy both, (I already tested both gold and diamonds before I went into the store, she knew I wouldn’t part with the pendant) she zeroed in on the ring. She said it was junk jewelry, from the 1970’s, the shank was broken, so it had no value. I ask the cost of the repair?? She said $90. Now mind you, I had my wedding rings resizes a few months prior, it was $50. A ring. She kept on and on about the imperfections, but wanted to give me $75. For the ring I walked, took it to another jeweler, cost me less then $50. To have the repairs, and found out it was from the 1930’s or 40’s. Value around $850.00. If she had been up front and honest and offered me a fair price I would have, sold her the ring. I will never purchase another piece of jewelry or have repairs their again, and make and tell other of their dishonesty. That one act honesty cost the shop a lot of money and bad publicity.

Hi Dr Lori , I accumulated a Statton dining room table and 10 custom chairs . The wood is marked Oxnard 1901 and the the tags under the seat say 1926. Is this a set? Or were the the 2 plaid fabric chairs Be seperate ? I would assume be the Captions chairs on the end . The biggest secret is don't tell people where you originally got the items from if they know it's been Goodwill or a yard sale or a garage sale they'll try to jip you down on the current price you might be asking for said item

It is great to find these "bargains." But what is the best platform to re-sell these bargain items for what you say they are "worth?" I find you get nothing on ebay and even worse on Craigs list. It would be beneficial to find a collector who wants the item for what it is "worth" and not another buyer who wants to "flip" it for more money.
