I’m happy in total agreement. As an estate & financial planning attorney, I’m educating my clients to set up their estates like this. This is so refreshing to hear a brother teaching truth on how to create generational wealth with TERM Life Insurance, investments (separate from life insurance), entrepreneurship, and a Trust. This is the real deal, true wisdom! God bless you. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

To the person reading this. Be encouraged, because you’ve been sent here to fulfill a purpose and simply because you are here at this time, you are on the right track. Don’t be to hard on yourself, yes you have made mistakes but we all do from time to time. Listen to your heart, because if you simply be still every answer you needed will come. This is simple to do, after creating your trust you'll need to call the banks/brokerage to add your trust as the beneficiary...additionally you can retitle your accounts to be in the name of your trust. This process is called "funding your trust".

I love the concept and theory. But there has to be a better plan to make sure the 21 yr old doesn't burn through their portion. If I gave my daughter 1. 5 mil right now at 21(in a couple months) it would be gone in 60 days.. A financial advisor needs to hold their hand,..My 24 yr old cousin inherited 3 mil a few yrs ago. He doesn't even have a car now. I believe the money would be more beneficial to my daughter at about 30 when the maturity is there for a solid game plan to properly use funds.
@Rholland2 жыл бұрын
Agreed. That really emphasizes the importance of educating them on money management. People typically don't waste money that they have a plan for unless their plan isn't very clear. (Invest x-amount at Y frequency)

Thats when you're parenting and wisdom is needed. I'm young and would never in a million years think of blowing that money. Give them a plan, reinforce the importance of legacy and remind them of how blessed they are..if all else fails have terms in the trust/will etc.

It only works if everyone in your family plays along. You do have to be rich enough so those responsible for managing this are genuinely dedicated. Most old money generational wealth do this, you may know someone who works for a 'family office' which is an offshoot of this. Remember, if there isn't significant money in the trust, the next generation can wipe it out just to pay for a house or other necessity.
