The only thing I was surprised was that it was also affecting other WoLs, because I understood it was planned as an NPC feature only. And I haven't seen it on my wol yet (male xaela), so I'd assumed it was only for other characters now! Seeing it here now though, maybe it's just too subtle on manra, or it is a bug that it is not affecting them yet.

As of DT, if you submerge your character partially in water, your clothes will become partially wet at the depth they were submerged instead of uniformly the moment you touch water.

Are you sure it was only since DT? Because I def have seen it happening while I was fishing in Endwalker. When I was walking into the shore (for example in Thavnair), it was only my shoes and bottoms that get wet, but not my shirt. Also from the one comment below: Umbrellas did dry you already in Endwalker as well. Overall both of this might not have been too noticeable though, and is now more obvious due to the graphical update!

You can do the cornservant quests as soon as the first yellow quests pop up in tuliyollal. I did all the yellow quests along the way and was so happy to get him as a minion in S9.

And I found myself coming back to the sightings of the families in Turial and being filled with both joy and melancholy. The little game of Uppies and that laugh, might not be for me. In trial 2, if you go in with trusts, one of the boss's more complicated attacks ends up confusing Wuk Lamat and she stands in the wrong spot. There's even cute dialog from her during the trial about it.

And in the first trial, the characters who are relatively new to fighting make a lot of mistakes early on while the veterans mostly avoid the attacks, just like you'd expect them to. (And if you aren't a healer, your second healer comments that she's making mistakes because she's not used to healing!)

The cornservant is avaliable along side the MSQ, if anyone want to do it along side MSQ whenever MSQ is about to end on that map (final quest of the zone will have aether current) the cornservant quest will already avaliable on that map (first 3 maps will be avalaible when first half of the map is about to end) , the quest name is obvious I can pick out his quest everytime.

Genolt is obviously a reflection of Gerolt and Grenolt, and of course the Rowena counter park. Genolt avoids her entirely going so far as to never leave the recreation district so as not to encounter her. I am almost positive Otis is a reflection of Hildebrand. They have the same face though Otis has scars. But there is an underlying goofiness to Otis seen in area 6.

Adding to the visual updates, as a raen au’ra fem with the forward-facing horns, the horns glow slightly red at the tips in daylight, just like when you hold your fingers up to a light. It was a small but surprising touch that made my WoL feel a little more real.

The remark about those early-expansion bugs being the things we have memories of is really on-point. I recall all the way back in Heavensward, there was a huge swarm of Naboori(?)- those floating plant enemies, near the entry point of the Dravanian Hinterlands. I also recall going through the MSQ with my friend and reaching that swarm, and then using Shadewalker on him, Katon on the swarm, and then sprinting away. Good times!

Your mounts tilt now! When using the turning keys (or turning via camera movement on KB+M), your mounts will tilt in the direction you're turning. All mounts do so when flying, but the best part is only mounts that make sense will tilt when grounded - for example, turning the Regalia doesn't tilt it on the ground, since... well, it's a car. But most of the horse mounts or bird mounts will tilt. And not only that, they tilt slightly more or less depending on *how hard* you're turning, too! It's such a small little detail that I don't remember seeing on patch notes or anywhere, and when I first saw it, for some reason I was just flabbergasted.

tip incase anyone needs but sleep can be useful for when ur tank dies in dungeon can swiftcast and put the pack to sleep to stall a bit while tank finds aggro again

Decided to watch this as a fun thing in the morning and was instantly hit with feels when you mentioned the S9 secrets. What the heck, Rinon, I'm not meant to cry while eating my breakfast! Did all the side quests as they popped up during the MSQ and the cornservant was always fun to look out for.

Eye details was shown during the 10th anniversary 14 hour broadcast at 2:41:47 where a lalafell npc standing in the Horizon got zoomed in. And if you turn on your subtitles auto translate at 2:42:08 a little after Yoshi P would mention that the eyes are moving. Which gets further noticed by live chat.

I loved it when cornservant said "it's cornin' time" and then corned all over the Alexandrian army. For those who haven't yet, consider clearing the yellow quest chains, especially those in the last zone. You can tell which ones have a cutscene by the banner image above the quest accept window. Some of those are pretty neat! (one even got me in the feels)

Prior to DT, if your lalafell was in water while your camera was out of water, all of the lalafell's eyebrows would disappear. This is no longer the case. But it was really funny when it was still a thing

The Cornservent is available almost immediately. I did his quests as soon as they unlocked when you unlock side quests for each zone.

So, as an Au'ra player, I was kinda upset with the original change to Limbal Rings (them just being a blending point whereas they used to be two distinct colors.) And when the benchmark 1.0 came out, it was worse than I expected, and then it got better with 2.0. Now with release, it is almost imperceptible the little change they made (now they are still blending, but at the edges, and it is nice and subtle,) because the bigger change, the actual glow in the dark aspect of them, has me too awestruck to care. The either subtle glow in a dimly lit area or cutscene, or the big bright glow in darkness, is just amazing.

I know! It’s so cool sometimes when you wear a hood in the cutscene and the last thing the enemy sees before getting clapped is the glowing rings in the dark staring at them. Pretty goofy too when you’re supposed to be out of sight except you can see those eyes all the way from behind the boulders wol hiding 😂

I loved exploring around solution 9 and checking out every npc, even the ones you can't talk to but give a little bubble text. My favorite is the random dude to the upper right 9f the map half submerged in a trashcan so wasted he thinks it's a bed. Honestly random npc dude....mood.

2:50 simple you ther is no invis wall that profence you from jumping off, thats normal, the dash ability like the dancer, dragoon or pictomancer do keep you grounded from the beginning to the end at all times, so you "dash" down to the lower ground, but because you pass through the teleporter that brings you up, the animation starts as normal but because you are still in dash the game teleports you back on the teleporter to start the animation normally or in layman's terms = spaghetti code this is way, in some PVP, the enemy seems to dash off a cliff but doesn't die from it while you jump off too and die

Another funny bug of sorts is that you can do the yellow quest "Once a Riddler, Now a Ruler" before the MSQ "Dawn of a New Tomorrow" and the former alludes to a significant reveal that hasn't happened yet. At least I don't think it's been patched unless I overlooked an update

Maybe not that crazy or interesting but in Tural city you can get onto the two little towers at the port entrance. If you jump up some of the boxes in the market you can get on the tent roofs. Then you can jump onto one of the shade cloths to get over to the towers.

That Unlimited Jump in Solution 9 is absolutely going away. I cant find any sources myself strictly applying this philosophy to XIV, but I've read before that Japanese devs are real stickers for maintaining the "beleivaility" of their fictional worlds, and having them "flawless", which creates a pretty harsh anti-glitch perspective, no matter how benign or useless. Especially if it's something that has gained any degree of traction.

It's good for doing that, but a lot of dungeon mobs will be either completely immune to the status, or will be hit by the deluge of incoming damage, and any damage at all will wake them immediately. Since you've got stuns and interrupts available for most of these mobs anyway, Sleep is a niche and nearly pointless addition. However, the turtle is immune to stuns, making sleep the only way to interrupt it's stomp attack.

Its a story moment, but when Erenvale asks about his mom in heritage found and nobody knows her, you just pass it off. But AFTER learning about the regulator and going to Living Memory and finding out the truth about her. Its a super smart bit of foreshadowing. They give you the fact that straight up, she is dead, front and center, but you just dont have the context to parse that out yet
