What I have already done: loosened the tension of the warp, joined each short thread with a weaver's knot to the new thread at different distances, re-tensioned the warp and loaded the loose threads in the back with sliding weights.

@@darkodjurkovic7120 Did the knots show in the weaving as you continued on? That was my concern

@@kanika3790 Tying knots in mutually different places reduces the thickening in one place, and the excess thread behind the knot is woven into the warp or weft and cut off at a certain distance at the point where it protrudes from the object. That's my experience.
